| O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00  | taking a page out of ikeaboy i bring you today's movie news of note. after much speculation the rold of the Incredible Hulk will go to australian actor Eric Bana. who you may ask? well you would be right to ask that, because i have never heard of him before. he is a big star in australia and starred in a movie called "Chopper" which was such a good performance that he immediately signed on to play a feature role in the movie "Black Hawk down" which also stars Ewan Mcgregor and Josh Hartnett and is helmed by Ridley Scott. according to trade publications he is so popular at the present time, he was also considered for 2 other superhero roles including the lead role in Ghost Rider, which eventually went to Nicolas Cage. so what do you guys think????? Bana seems to be an interesting choice to star in what is considered to be a major project over the coarse of the next year.it seems he is considered to be the next breakout star in hollywood from overseas so it will be interesting to see what happens. the only thing i see is, are we ready for an incredible hulk with an australian accent? the other thing is, what happened to nicolas cage and the superman movie that he was signed on to make? is that officially in the crapper? and what about him being ghost rider? thats an interesting choice i would say and the project will get quite a bit of buzz now since cage is without a doubt on a short list of "A" list stars. edit: did a bit of research and i found a pictre of Bana from the movie chopper. quite an interesting choice indeed    Across the field you see the sky ripped open See the rain through a gaping wound Pounding on the women and children Who run Into the arms Of America-U2 This message was edited by Faceman on 10-15-01 @ 3:12 PM | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | Well he's better than the last Banner choice I heard being tossed around- Ryan Phillipe but he still looks too young and angry. You need a dork for Banner. I know Ang Lee and Rick Baker are attached for sure though. As for Austrailian guys, remember Hugh Jackman was Wolverine and kicked major ass in the role. And yes, last I heard Nicky Cage is going to be Johnny Blaze. I'm more interested in Fantastic Four casting (I can see Robbins or Duchovny as Mr. Fantastic).
