Good for a small office that doesn't need so much bandwidth - but speed really does depend on how many people are on it. Also, with T1's, unless you're paying out the ass for a guaranteed full T, you're probably not getting the full 1536 all day. Typically, the phone company will share circuits between multiple T's... so even though you can max out at 1536, many times you only get a guaranteed bandwidth of 384 kbps... and cable blows the shit out of that, not to mention you're the only one on it as opposed to your whole company. And that whole cable bit about how you're sharing with your neighborhood and blah blah... I have yet to see someone actually complain about cable being slow. The reason why the sharing isn't a problem is that it only becomes a problem if you and everyone else in your neighborhood is downloading, say, one 50-meg file each, all at once. Then you might slow down. But that probably won't happen, so I don't buy the myth.... I'm waiting for powerline networking. 2.5 GB/s.  | ||||
