When it comes to that hate and resentment some feel, I let a lot of that go. Except when it came to embarrasing a few guys in front of thier wives. It was like hi your husband used to torment me when I was a kid. I have let a lot of my animosity go for the simple fact that I grew up, and I hoped many of them had as well, and in most cases they did. One sad story about it was there was one fella who just couldn't seem to get out of high school. He couldn't move on after graduation and it ate at him for years until he took his life last year. But others can move on.

It ain't easy being greasy in a world full of cleanliness and you know, all that other madness.

hehehe.
I have no problem at all with people who do have a big house and expensive cars. its the asswipes who feel the need to boast about their accomplishments in life,Those are the people I have resentment for. If you feel the need to pat yourself on the back at everymoment in time, who are you actually impressing but yourself.

Some people I do work for are worth millions of dollars, yet they never say two words about it.

But then again,we are all millionares on the internet aren't we. :)

I have my 10 year reunion next year. I only hang out with one person from my class, and I see most of the others at local bars or at the gym (that's right, Froy isn't the only one here who goes to the GYM). But I suppose I'll go just for shits and giggles.

my 5 year reunion was this summer, but i missed it cause i was on vacation in texas. i would have gone if i was home though. even though i still hang out with those that were in my clique in high school. i went to a high school in the city - like 660 in my graduating class - so damn cliquey (is that a word) it was like the high school in 10 Things i Hate About You, or Clueless. but i loved high school. i was sorry i missed the reunion. hopefully i will be around for the 10 year.

I completely forgot about it, I knew I had to do something on that Friday but I just couldn't remember what. I said fuck it and ended up going to see " Road Trip" instead, I probably had a better time at the movies than I would have at the reunion.

I just had my 10-year a few weeks ago. The turn out was very weak. It had originally been scheduled for Sept. 15th, but was postponed until a November Friday, the 2nd. The rep from the planning company said over half the people cancelled outright after the postponment. So out of 225 people in the class, about 25 showed up plus dates. With that few people, the clique factor was nil and we actually all had a pretty good time. I have a group of friends that I still hang with a lot from HS, and there were some people I was happy to see again. I even ran into one again at Red Rocks last weekend! I thought I'd have some of that "I hated you." bitterness, but it wasn't there.

Thank you for being a friend.

Do they really call you turk, and what does that mean?

And it wasn't that anyone picked on me or bullied me in high school. And those 4 years were the best of my life so far, it just so happened that everyone I hung out with in high school, with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 people, went to different high schools than me. I just didn't like the people in my school, so I have no interest in going somewhere to hang out with them.

I do think 10 year reunions are a waste, but it gave me a reason to see some people I wanted to see and hadn't. Three of my 5 or 6 best friends in highschool are still my best friends. So I had a great effin night. It was funny to see some of the so called hot chics who have hit the wall. Ah man how many jokes were made that night. It's also funny because my friends are in law enforcment and they basically were telling me which ones they had seen in the lock up, or the people that had tried to use their names to get out of trouble. Ha! Yeah I had a blast. :)

If your parents never had children, chances are you won't either.

When I have the unfortunate displeasure of running into someone I went to high school now, I can't stand how fake they act. I didn't like them when I was in high school, and I won't like them in a few years when it is time for the reunion. So why should I subject myself to the torture of hanging out with them?

Especially when it was someone that hated you, and you hated them, and know they seem to have forgotten the bitter hatred in the years that have passed.

Apparently mine was in August this year, and I found out about it from emails after the fact, I learned a bit too late. It would have been cool to see my old teammates, but I dont think I missed much. Now my Fraternity reunions, those I dont miss.

Mine was this past saturday night, and well, i didn't go. Everyone I want to see that I went to school with, I see...and everyone else I don't want to see, so why pay to see them? Maybe in another 5 or 10 years I will change my mind, but I just had no desire to see any of the people that I went to school wtih...
