| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01  | Everyone has those moments of complete introspection, where they become very reflective and philosophical. What in your life has made you just take pause and think? What have you seen, done, or heard recently that got your mind working? For me, I finished reading Crime & Punishment a week ago and it set my mind on fire. I don't think I've ever been so engrossed mentally in a book. Never before have I seen myself in a character like that.  I believe in the Faith... that can save me. I believe in the hope and I pray... That someday it may raise me... above these badlands | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Crime and Punishment is a good one...also after I read Skinny Legs and All by Tom Robbins, another real doozy of a book. Also, Foucault's Pendulam by Umbreto Eco...which is a book that has you pretty stunned at the end at the philosophical implications. Movies, a good book, meeting a high pressure deadline and finally getting time to breathe are all times that kind of spurn on some self-intropection and gets me thinking.  | ||||

Makes me wonder what makes people do the things they do, why things are they way they are, etc...I guess I try and put my few psych classes that I took to use and decipher everything. The stories that really shock me are the ones that make me think even more. I know it's wrong and it makes you nauseous. But I'm not suspicious, I'm cautious. And you know I want to love and trust you. But it's really a lot to try and adjust to. | ||||

And how no matter how much I study I will never come close to even knowing .000001% of everything there is to know makes me think as well. I work in golf and play golf to NOT think...especially when I play...bad players think too much and the few good ones (amateurs, let alone pros) do it automatically. Seriously, I listen to WABC from 10-1am for the latest world news...they're the anti-Ron and Fez, one of them is, umm, geey. Regardless, they make me think. So, what the fuck is a Sybian? EDIT - I posted this on dial-up and as usual, much happened between reading and posting...lol. I hope this helps...
