O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	Everyone's favorite murderer is at again. I hear a great bit today. -- A two-year investigation into money laundering and drug distribution led federal and local authorites Tuesday morning to the home of NFL football legend O.J. Simpson. Simpson, who has not been indicted or arrested, cooperated with FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration and Miami-Dade county authorities as they searched his home as a result of a federal search warrant that remained sealed. An FBI source said the search was in connection with "Operation X," an investigation into the distribution of Ecstasy, the laundering of $800,000 and "signal theft" -- the distribution of fraudulent satellite access cards. Twelve people have been charged in connection with the charges, and 10 of those have been arrested. The Associated Press, citing an FBI spokeswoman, reported that two people were arrested in Chicago as part of the two-year probe, and nine other homes were being searched in Miami. The FBI would not say what they were looking for in Simpson's home or why they had issued a search warrant, but sources said that federal authorites are asking for computer and satellite equipment. In October, Simpson was found not guilty on charges stemming from a traffic altercation in the Miami area with another motorist in December 2000. In a sensationalized trial six years ago, Simpson was acquitted of murder charges in the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, who were found stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home. He was later found liable for their deaths in a civil trial and was ordered to pay $33.5 million in damages. Simpson moved to the Miami area last year.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	Seph, OJ in the news is always funny. This was the only newsthread I have posted in about a month. Give me a fucking break already. It is a fucking messageboard and I thought news about OJ being in a drug dealer and selling illegal satellite equipment was worthy of starting a thread about it.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01	I just heard on The Fox News Channel that they (the FBI) believe that OJ may have some information that is relevant to an ongoing investigation regarding X and the distribution of it. Not that they think he is selling it but that he knows people higher up on the food chain of drug dealers that are involved in it. ...wow great friends he's keeping these days...you'd think after everything he has done and has been involved with that he would at least distance himself from more shit... ...media whore... ...IT'S TIME FOR ECONOMIC WARFARE... We MUST strike against the nations, which advocate, implement, harbor and financially support terrorism, by not purchasing their products or supporting their businesses! That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?
