| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I don't know, they are called the Sports Guys, shouldn't they talk about sports. I find them most interesting when they talk about Sports. I actually listened to them during the baseball playoffs because they were entertaining. When they try to do other stuff, they suck. I think Ferrall makes the show worse than it already is. Watch that .1 rating become a .05 rating.  | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | If the SportsGuys (mornings!!!!!) put Ferrell in to do their show, they will permanently lose oen of their five listeners (myself). But maybe I shouldn't judge yet, I recorded the show and haven't listened to it because I'm on vacation and am waking up late, but if his work on FAN and EVD is any indication, I might have to find something else to listen to in mornings. I was wondering why Craig wasn't on today...I've been actually listening mornings now, and I really like Blaine and Craig together, especially when Bill Taylor's in the studio. They make me laugh in the morning, unlike other tired shows. WNEW really does suck, firing someone one week before Christmas! :(  NEVER FORGET!!! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Blaine was on, but he was being stepped on by Ferrell every time he opened his mouth. Ferrell is too high energy to have a partner, and not a good fit for morning radio anyway. He's better suited for a midnight show. I only get to listen to the sports guys for about a half hour in the car and then a little bit before they sign off... was there any mention of Craig Carton leaving the show> or was it just a vacation? Anyway I havent posted on here in a few months and probably wont before the holidays ... So have a Merry Christmas and New Year everyone! Just another observation of insanity. | ||||

Like I said before, there was no chemistry between Blain and Ferrell. At least Blain and Craig actually made the show fun together. I don't care what success Ferrell has had on other shows, and other timeslots. I'm changing the fucking station. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Ehh Craig sucked anyway. He and Blaine had a bit of chemistry but they just weren't funny. Blaine's lucky he's still there. His impressions all sounded the same. They tried more at humor then they did sports, and it frankly sucked. Ferrel probably knows more about sports then both of them together. I'm not a big fan of craig but him and blane were at leat tollerable to listen to. This DEEK Ferrell is gonna be horrible. His voice is just annoying and he just constantly talks and doesn't let blane in a word at all. If this is a permanent thing, then looks like I'll be back to listening to static again.... | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | According to NY Daily News, Scott Ferrall has joined WNEW Sports (Menudo) guys. It didn't say if Craig was gone or not. Ferrall knows sports, especially Hockey. He did a syndicated late night show that was known for rock music and callers saying what drink they wanted (like a Sports bar), and was recently doing 7-midnight for 1050 ESPN radio. His voice can be grating, and he speaks way too fast for mornings, but he does know his stuff; he was even one of the announcers for (as he puts it) the worst hockey team - the Atlanta Thrashers. His syndicated show was on WFAN for a while, and before he was even on, Mike (Fatso) Francessa ripped him because he wasn't "traditional" like he is. It didn't last too long here. This indicates WNEW wanted more sports. Craig & Blaine had good mix, but they really didn't know sports; Craig was the friend we all have who thinks he knows shit but doesn't. I thought they were all right when they had a good topic (Craig ripping on Yankee fans when Diamond backs won :) ), but overall nothing special. Ferrall definitely rolled over Blaine today, and they need to see if they'll get it together. I found it more interesting this morning (especially when John Davidson called in); we'll see what develops.  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Mar. 01 | FERRELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew 'NEW would finally do something else right other than hireing O&A. But i did notice he and Blaine were not on the same page, and there were numerous stepping on jokes and comments. Ferrell is based more on a "Him" show, with a supporting cast that say lil things here and there, but who aren't co-hosts. Blaine is more of the Co-host type radio guy. I do not see how this is going to work out for either of these guys, either Ferrell will be let go or moved to an overnight shift, and replaced with someone that Blaine can work off of, or Blaine will be let go, and Ferrell will have the show to himself. Fuck fat Francessa and his traditional sports show. But what will impress me is if and when Farrall gets some sports stars to call in then it will be a real sports show. How can i be the man if farrell is the man!!! Ferrell mentioned O and A and said they were cool guys on the fringe, i think he will become a friend of the show quickly, well he does want to see the naked teens. Maybe Scorch will join the sports guys and the new show will be the cigar smoking battary acid throat sports guys | ||||

Even WFAN, the "24 hour sports station" gave up on doing sports in the am. Ferrell rules, but he is waaaay too much in the morning. They should just trash the show, put something else on in the am, and let Ferrell do his usual late night thing.  | ||||
