Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 02	Question - does Michael Jackson truly have the "right" to sell a Beatle song to an insurance company so they can play it ad nauseum in commercials for said company? You know what...I say we speak up. We all own a piece of the songs we listen to, don't we? I mean, we pay for the music with hard earned cash. I might feel bad for Paul because he lost the rights to his songs, but he is doing the exact same thing with other songs. He owns 'Happy Birthday' and the 'Notre Dame Fight Song' amoung many others. It's a buisness and that's all there is to it. Sure we will all get sick of songs, but radio has done that for us anyway. Also I can see this as Michael Jackson realizing how more talented the Beatles are than him and whoring them out to lessen them memory. Also, when was it made acceptable for your song to be used in car commercials.
