If so, download and install vindigo. you can pick major metro areas and it tells you all the hot spots to eat, bars. I have it for New York(I'm guessing they have a Chicago version), and it's awesome. Even tells you how to get there from your current location. Best part about it is that you can take it with you wherever you go.. if you're out eating you can look for a bar to hang afterwards.. good for bar hopping too. Anyway... here's the URL. Some noteworthy places to eat, Ed Dabevics where the cheeseburgers are greasy and the waitresses are sluts. You'll feel right at home. Also, Harry Carry's "Holy Cow". Both on the north side and worth the trip. One of America's best Armenian restaurants, Syat Nova, also on the near north side. Greek Town is worth the trip, many great choices there. As far as night life, it's either Rush Street or Old Town where Second City is. Great clubs and bars. Strip Clubs are tough. Not much in the city. You have to go north to Waukegan near the Naval Base. Plenty of nice places in that area. Give me your AMEX card number. If I'm going to keep doing this, I'm charging your ass. Ask a cabbie to take you to a great blues club-- there's so many joints there you can't go wrong. Go to Grant Park and walk the lake -- you won't be disappointed. From there just walk, you'll find all the restaurants you need. | ||||
