ok i have 2 not mentioned, the car chase in the middle of heat was pretty intense and the storming of the beach in normandy in saving private ryan has to be one of the most realistic and intense action scenes ever filmed, damn the more i think about it the more i think that is one of the best movies ever made

Another good one, more for the build up than the action itself: The cemetry scene at the end of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"

This is such a hard topic to add too, there is sooo much...

Gladiator-End battle

star wars Episode I-End lightsaber battle

Independance Day-The whole alien attack scene
(the part with the dog running and just making it in the room had me on the edge of my seat)

Return of the Jedi- End Lightsaber Battle/Space dogfights

There are soooo many, i cant remember, its too early

A man lies in his bed in a room with no door
He waits, hoping for a presence, something, anything to enter
After spending half his life searching
He still felt as blank as the ceiling at which he stared
He is alive, but feels absolutely nothing, so is he?

Braveheart- The battle where Mel Gibson gives his big speech

Armageddon-where the Russian Space Station blows up and where the other ship gets hit by meteor showers and is presumed all dead

Enemy of the State- Shootout at the end between the government and the mob

Gladiator- fight scene with the tigers

The Rock- Where there was an accidental shot fired and everyone starts shooting each other

Face/OFF- It was an action movie but my favorite scene was not really action. It was where Travolta and Nicholas Cage switched faces. Also when the bad Travolta saw the good Nicholas Cage in prison

The best fight scene I for an anime is the final fight between Gemma and Jubei in Ninja Scroll. Best Live action scene would be in Gladiator where Russel Crowe is fighting the big fat guy... He stabs with his sword, leaves it there, then Big guy drops his... RC picks it up, takes other sword from big guy's stomach- now he has both swords in hand... then he rests the one sword on the side of the Big Guy's neck(while he is dazed) and w/ a powerfull swipe tkaes the guy's head clean off!

"Kyle, I'm just a stupid piece of crap..." Just some nuggets (with corn) of wisdom from the bottom of the Jersey City Sewer Department- I love stealing Faceman's ideas & making them my own bc/ I like to post boring non-sense.

LittleWing mentioned To Live And Die In LA, and I'll add the chase scene in RONIN, the best part of the movie.

The final sword duel between Roth/Neeson in Rob Roy will make one tired just watching it...

Train Station scene in The Untouchables.

Enter the Dragon : the final fight scene and the one when Bruce Lee fights the big guy with the beard.

Under Siege : The knife fight between Tommy Lee Jones and Steven Segal. Really fast, but really accurate.

Aliens : Ripply in the "Walker" fighting the Alien Queen, the final assault by the aliens on the command center, the first time the marines find the aliens, .... fucking great film!

Arthur smiled at him wanly and shrugged again. He turned and smiled wanly at the rest of the pub just in case any of them had heard what was going on. None of them had, and none of them could understand what he was smiling at them for.

i don't think many people liked the movie in general, but the car chase scenes in Ronin were awesome. i should rent the DVD, haven't seen that one since it was in theatres.

I totally agree with Ronin. The car scenes were incredible.. also, any of the big race scenes in days of thunder were pretty good.

Two films I can't believe havn't been mentioned yet:
"L.A. Confidential:" the scene where Shotgun Ed gets his nickname. Also, the last shootout at the old motel.

"The Usual Suspects:" the raid on the freighter.

Oh, and who could forget the coffin dumping escape in "Clerks?"

BTW: "Ronin" rocks. Great flick, and great chase scenes.
