I was watching Meet the Press on Sunday and Russert had some Republican Senator on(forget who, majority leader I think) and he said that we should get involved in Sudan because Muslims are killing Christians over there and its just not right. Yeah, lets get involved in EVERY religious and racial war out there. That'd be smart. I can see already that GW is following right in his dadies footsteps. For those of you enlisted, get ready to start "peacekeeping" in some half-assed jungle in the middle of Sudan. Im sure you'll be REAL welcomed. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | I heard PSAB is alright. From what I hear they have new dorms put up and are getting out of being in tent cities. I was in Eskan Village. Eskan had good living conditions. We each got our own room and they weren't that crappy. I know for a fact that your position cannot be given away if you are doing military service for Reserves or NG, but like every law I guess some Employers use loopholes like wtg 2 mos. and laying you off. Slick motherfuckers... People like that better hope there isn't a military coupe, cause they would defenitely have a hard time... "Kyle, I'm just a stupid piece of crap..." | Hanger-On Registered: Sep. 00 | Sarcasto...do you have a car? If you don't I'll give you little explanation. See a car needs gasoline to make the internal combustion engine run. To keep the engine parts running you need a lubricant to keep it from seizing...this lube is called oil. Now with oil being a fossil fuel, that means it is scarce. The Middle East has a lot of it, the US does not. Now to keep the price of said oil down, there must be peace in the middle east. I don't know if you remember a little energy crisis during the mid-70's, but is was caused by the lack of peace in the mid-east. Now to prevent the second coming of the arab oil embargo, the US must do whatever it deems necessary to protects its citizens interest in the Middle-Eastern oil supply. That's why bailed out Kuwait, that's why we might have to get involved in this. Duff Man says a lot of things...OOH YEA! | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | hey guys, i just got back from israel last week, before the war started up again. the palestinians never "owned" land. they were refugees from jordan and in '67 after the war, jordan didn't want them back. israel was nice enough to let them stay in their refugee camps, and work through out the land of israel. there can never be peace with people that never owned the land that they are fighting over. it's not going to happen. read up on your history books. and one more thing, herusalem is the jews one and only holy site, noyt their third. | ||||

And yes, Palestine was a country, meaning that the people of palestine are called palestinians, meaning that palestinians once owned the land! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | hey jay, palestine was term given to the strip of land we now know as israel. it refurred to everyone that lived there, jews, arabs, and christians. as of 1948, there were syrians in the north, who refured to themselves as syrians, mot palestinians. jordanians in the mid section/jerusalem area, that called themselves jordanians. and egyptians in the south, that guess what, they were called egyptians!! it5 wasn't until 1967, that the plo (today's pa) that any arab nation considered themselves to be a palestinian. another thing, since the time of abraham, there have always been jews living in the land of israel, it would then be impossible for the "palestinians" to claim true ties to the land, when the moslims have only ben around, as a religion, or less then 700 years. | ||||
