| Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | There is so much I'd like to say here, but unfortunatly, none of it would help. For those of you who narrow-mindedly write this off to race, you are sadly mistaken. All kids, and not just the kids in the inner city, are learning that their actions have no consequences. They are then free to choose role models from society based on the premise that the ends justifies the means. They will then choose their role models from what is nearby and accessible: in the city, it's street crime or the drug trade, in the heartland, you have white supremist groups and the militia movement. The common denominator is that they will feel disaffected, and will be willing to use violence to achieve their ends, because they are entitled. This ends up being the lesson that today's youth are taking to heart. The next generation will be an interesting bunch. Of course, by then I'll be entering retirement, and they can be someone else's problem.  AIM:isdononthephone | ||||

I saw on 20/20 a couple of weeks ago that they had shown a class of 1st graders a documentary in their classroom on gun violence....after the video a DARE officer gave them a little speech....then right after his speech they had a hidden camera and 2 kids at a time were spyed on while they where playing in the toy room. Mind you they placed a toy gun(which looked real) next to their toys...each kid picked up the gun and played as if they were shooting each other. How fuckin sick is that?!?! I mean what else can we do?! Care to stick your hot dog in between my buns? | ||||
