| O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00  | ok boys and girls, after a couple of days off, its tome for more of these interesting thoughts and issues of mine :) todays topic will shock and bother you to no end, some of you may be frightened, others will look at it and say, HUH? so have fun and enjoy... companies are always trying out new ideas in order to gain a better portion of our dollar in their pockets. to that end they create new products and modify exciting ones. this happened a number of years ago in a very lucrative food industry. so my topic of the day is, which did you enjoy more New Coke or Clear Pepsi? i didnt like either one of them that much, but new coke did have at least a decent taste to it. the clear pepsi was just plain weird. why anyone would want to drink a clear cola is beyong me anyway, so i have no idea what they were thinking in the first place. does anyone remember the furor that new coke caused too. people complained, protested, boycotted. it was almost like they killed someone with the way they were treated. ah memories  | ||||

(it was so long ago).. but as for clear coloas.. snapple used to have tru-root beer. it was clear root beer and it was great.. proud graduate of Newbie University. As for clear Colas, I'll take a Sprite any day. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I rememebr both, new coke was like a sweeter version of pepsi (to me anyway) and clear pepsi was just bad. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | New Coke was a Pepsi clone and Crystal Pepsi had a funky taste. It was almost creamy and tasted nothing like Pepsi. Sprite et al, aren't made with kola nuts so its not a cola drink. However they are made with Koala nuts. He should have seen it coming, but it happened way too fast  capnfudge@opieanthony.com | ||||
