Theres a Record Explosion down near my job, and they were seeling previously viewed tapes in Kozmo cases (no porno either, thats really what I was looking for). | Hanger-On Registered: Sep. 00 | I do think alot of people got into the biz with the idea of getting rich quick. They may have even had a good idea even if it wasn't sustainable. But I think alot of them though the biz would last. Like you said the financial backing from VC's is drying up. A company needs money to stay in biz. They can either get it from customers, advertisers, stock, or investors. Most brick and mortar businesses built this all up over time while the dot-coms sold their soul to the devil ( AKA Venture Capital). I talked to a friend who was considering getting VC and they really screw you. Often the VC company will get over %60 of the options while the company gets %20 for all the executives and another %20 for the employees. It may look good in the short term, but as we have been finding out, its not a substitute for profits and its not a way to sustain a business. What you want on this Samich -Pannix | ||||
