| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | It seems to me that a lot of board members are upset about the state of this message board. Well instead of whining about it, how about we all try to come up with ideas. Maybe we all can make a difference. I agree that the board is not what it once was, we lost a lot of veterans and Mods, that posted and made the board interesting. So what can we do to bring this board up to the level of insanity that we all know and love.  NOBODY WANTS TO BE ADOPTED BY ME!!! EVERYTHING ENDS BADLY, OTHERWISE IT WOULDN'T END. E-Mail Me | ||||

I'm always willing to help people with sig pic and stuff whenever they ask me, instead of telling them to read the FAQs. as far as posting more intelingetly... if it's not O&A related, people always come up with some funny threads, sometimes stupid threads, but there is a DELETE button for those threads. -I didn't watch the Blockbuster awards, is that really her?... holy crap, what happened to her? got hit by a train?... might as well. You say you want better topics - maybe opinions should be respected as well as the people. This isn't just vets, some mods do it as well. If you disagree and feel that a comment is offensive and say so - you get a new status to suit a mods fancy. I made the mistake of saying that a comment about incest wasn't right and I got slammed for; hence, the new status. I was also told that I'm not a productive person on this board etc etc...I won't just sit here and let someone belittle me... I will defend myself and my opinions. I also know that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Maybe more people would join in on topics if they didn't feel like they had to walk on eggshells. | ||||

All this levity is starting to disorient me. :) Many of you have brought up good points, and we do need to start exercising a bit more patience, but at the same time, we do need to police ourselves and keep some people in check. I know that is what the mods are for, and they do a very tough job very well, but they are only human and are subject to emotional distress like any of us. Please, everybody hug a mod for the good of the board. ;) Also.... anybody else thinking Ice Cream Bars and Hockey Helmets?  Say hello to my little friend(s)! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | LOL, great one kid. I think we just have to ease up a bit on the newbies. We throw out the old "Read the FAQ" line all the time. But honestly, would you read it on your first time? My suggestion is after someone registers, they are linked directly to the FAQ, and are not allowed to post once they click on something at the bottom of the FAQ page like "I agree" or "I Understand". Sort of like what napster used to make all of its clients do after they logged on, but before they could Download a song. This way, the Newbies cannot scream "I didnt know, nobody told me", because they would have already read the FAQ.  "In my veins courses the blood of the ancients...
