Network, Basic, Pay- what movies must you see whenever you notice they're on tv? You stop doing everything you're doing just to watch it?

Jaws. It was just on TNT and I HAD to watch it, stat to finish. Great movie by the way.

So, what's yours? Figured we could use another film thread in here

Well, for me, its any of the Rocky series except 5. Especially when they have the marathons on TNT like today. That, and all of the ones you guys have already mentioned

Jaws, John Wayne Flicks, The Blues Brothers, The Matrix, The Deer Hunter. The Godfather (the "boxed set" in one shot, because there is added stuff, someone played it recently). Most WWII films (the AMC type)

For some reason, I always feel compelled to watch Stone Cold, with Brian Bosworth, whenever I find it on somewhere.

Ah great TNT or TBS material- anyone else remember Joe Bob Briggs? I watched Monstervision (when he hosted) for the entire length, often till like 3, 4 in the morning. Then they cancelled him, Turner sucks.

I have to say one of the funniest things about watching some movies on tv is listening to see what words they substitute for the curses...some of them are pretty funny and dont fit at all.

What are we gonna do about this?

For some reason, I am always compelled to watch:
Matrix
Independence Day
Starship Troopers
Cruel Intentions

(the cable channels have a way of just running the hell out of a movie, and I can never turn these off!)

Let's see if I'm hearing this right
Is it just I should take
And never endings are glad
To carry out the dead
Your idols burn in the fire
The mob comes crawling out (take us down and out)
I'm reclaiming their minds
Destroying everyone

There's no one here
And people everywhere, you're all alone

Yeah, the dubbing on most of these movies is HORRIBLE. If you ever watch Goodfellas, Casino, or Midnight Run on a basic cable channel, you'll know what I mean.

The worst dub job i ever saw was in some movie where Michael J Fox is an actor turned cop or something, and he yells "You son of a bitch!!" Only on TV it came out "You slug in a ditch!!!"

Backstreet Boys or N*Sync?

Both of them. Locked in a house, on fire, surrounded by trick fire extinguishers filled with gasoline.
