I for one am taking the day off of work for the international holiday...and of course, smoking all day (hmmm, maybe shrooms will also be in my future) with my pothead friends who also decided to take the day off :) 4:20 was the time a group of stoners (the Waldos) in California would meet after school to do some smoking. Later, it just became their code word for pot smoking whenever parents/teachers were around..4:20 was passed down through generations of pot smokers, mostly through the Dead who were friends of the Waldos ---It's all about the pot-smoking community spirit Is anyone else taking the day off or have any plans for 4/20?  no-one ever tends to me. Sitting alone covered in breeze. Some things are so my mind can breathe. The waiting is hard, fuckin' takes so long. Draped in sun, hands in sand. Earth acid cleanses me. After getting out of detention, the group would go to their respective homes, and collect their 'equipment'. By the time they were able to meet after all of this, the time was approximately 4:20 pm. | Hanger-On Registered: Apr. 01 | Also...420 is the supposed amount of chemicals in THC (thing that gets you high), a 420 in Cali is a drug bust, 4:23 is the time of Jerry Garcia's death (3 mins being the average amount of time it takes for weed to kick in).
