ah high school, the best 7 years of my life:)

Life is like a box of chocoloates, a cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift no one ever asks for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this mostly undefinable whipped mint crap, mindlessly wolfed down when there's nothing else to eat during the game. Sure, once in a while you get a peanut butter cup or an English toffee, but it's gone too soon and the taste is fleeting. In the end you're left with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth-shattering nuts, which if you are desperate enough to eat, leaves nothing but useless brown paper wrappers.

HS was pretty fucking useless. Almost none of the things I've learned in HS have applied to my first year in college.

Also I couldn't stand the superficial environment. (ie, cliques and etc)

But then again in college the same shit happens.(ie, Frats, Soroities, Clubs, and geeks like me)

Ever see "Revenge of the Nerds". You know what I'm talking about.

High school blows. I'm gong to a class with a bunch of people that I don't care about, who don't care about me. I am there to find out things that will help me lead a more productive life later. Half the people I go to school with I wont ever see again. The things I am learning in school I would study on my own time at home if there was no such thing as school. So to me high school is just bothersome. ::shrugs::

"High-School"
was the best.......especially when I am approaching my 20, yes 20th year (1981) re-union.
I barely remember buying an ounce of weed for 40 bucks and and rolling 40 pin-joints and keeping half & selling out the rest every day....
now I own my own business , selling weed has become much more difficult however......

I graduated HS in 1990, and looking back, it was the best 4 years of school I ever had. Granted, I went to an all-male catholic school (no geeeeey replies, please), but there were plenty of dances and stuff that alloted for many girls to be around (especially when you hooked up with one and went into the locker rooms without anyone noticing you were gone hehe). I learned a lot about life in that time, and made the two best friends that I'll ever have in my life. If I could go back and do it all over again, i would, but I wouldn't wanna deal with taking finals and Regents exams, what a pain in the ass those were!

Nah, high school kinda sucked for me. Did enough drugs to deal with the burn outs. Played enough sports to have a couple tie to the jocks. My real friends came from neither of those groups. Still in contact with 2 people I graduated with, and two others I went to school with. They are my best friends. Otherwise, I skipped my 15 year reunion. I am not the person they all knew, and I don't like who I was.

High School was important and useful on several levels. First, I learned that everyone is not meant to go to high school- they're better off obtaining menial jobs to reflect their like intellect. Furthermore, I learned that it can be a good time as long as you participate in it to the fullest exetent, i.e. working hard, playing sports, and making good friends. As for its impact towards college, that all depends upon your attitude towards high school. If you don't learn or try to learn anything in high school, then college is not meant for you. For instance, I joined two fraternities in college and that was the best thing I ever did. Aside from the regular partying and having a good time, I learned skills like working with others and responsibility. In terms of subject matter, if you don't prepare yourself for college while in high school, then just don't go. Save your parents some money. I've spoken to and seen too many examples of people obtaining ridiculous degrees and having no clue what to do with them. However, that's a tirade for another thread. Succinctly, what I'm trying to say here is that "liking" high school depends upon how you used it. If you killed time by doing drugs, partying, and other frivolous things, then maybe it was a good time in that respect. However, if you used the time working hard and furthering yourself to a better academic end, then while you may have not enjoyed school to its fullest, you most certainly used the time for which it was intended. Just my two cents here.

When I was in high school wayy back from 91-95 it was a waste of time. But when I look back at it now, It was a good four years of debauchery and good times for me.

Geez, If High School was the best years of your life, that means it has been all crappy since then. That sucks.

I used to feel that I would never want to go through high school again if it wasn't for one factor. Mmmmmm Teens.

I'd do it all over again, and knowing what I know now would have done things lots different.

College on the other hand couldn't have been better. It was indeed the best 4 years of my life... I made friends for life, dated the most beautiful girl I have ever layed eyes on, and walked around completely obliterated and care free for the most part. Yes it was a lot of work, but I wouldn't trade my college experiences for the world. If I had a choice, I'd take college over high school any day.

I hated high school, I hated evryone that I went to school with, they were all stuck up daddys girls, or mama's boy's. The best day of my four years of high school was graduation day, I never had to see them again.

I loved high school. It was the best damn four years of my life. I can't believe it was all just one year ago! :sniff:sniff::

Naah, it was fun! I partied, hung out, whatever! The only sucky thing about it was realizing that most of the world lacks common sense.

And about the popularity thing--I dunno...I guess so. I was on yearbook committee, in the school plays, cheerleader for a bit and voted prom queen. I guess that's popular.

The only thing I liked about High School was what I learned through my experiences during those 4 years.

School itself was a waste. Most Teachers didn't give a rat's ass about you unless you were a brain or a jock. I wasn't either. I had had a C+ average. Only because I they didn't offer shit and most of what I got stuck with I was bored with. I only played baseball so I wouldn't consider myself a jock.

I graduated in '94. Once in a while I think about the good times and wouldn't mind reliving them. But then I remember the bordom and bullshit. I never considered those 4 years the best of my life. If I ever do, KILL ME.
I like to think that I can make every year better then the last

I have a qustion for all you seniors and freshmen in college. Are good grades enough to get into college? i mean, with all the shit about being in clubs and the honor society and shit. Would good grades and a good SAT score be enough to get into a really good college?
