| Hanger-On Registered: Dec. 00  | :( My Girlfriend who has only listened to some bits here and there. She just basically told me that she didn't care for their brand of humor. Which was find until yesterday when I was finishing up some work at home and she had the day off. Of course, I listening the the underground via computer. That whole creepy caller bit. disturbed her so much that she wished I would just turn it off. Being the jackoff that I am, I told her that this wasn't meant to be a funny bit, the funny stuff comes after. Low and behold Uncle Bill sounds just like the creepy caller. My girlfriend went ballistic. Say that not only are Opie and Anthony not funny and stupid but it seems that the only way they feel good about themselves is from the pain of others. The "Mom, I'm in porno" bit made matters worse. To calm the situation, I turned O&A off and missed the rest of the show. timing is everything and just when they they finished making fun of the mummy returns and opie goes ape shit. there's the creepy caller at the same moment my girlfriend decides to give them a chance. No I don't have a point. the only thing is I can't fucking win. I love the show and I wish that the girlfriend could enjoy it also, which she wont. :(  When Einstein took of every zig, he found that someone set up us the bomb | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | I can totally relate to what your saying. My husband doesnt listen to the show at all. He cant understand why I do, he doesnt think they are funny. | Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Hey Cue-don't feel too bad. My boyfriend got me into O&A in the first place-about two years ago. I turned into the fanatic fan, a much bigger fan than him. When I got into the Board & Chat, he got freaky jealous and thought I was choosing them (?) over HIM (??). I know, it seems ridiculous, but it's true. We're working it out, it really has nothing to do with O&A! Basically, I think you may just be dealing with your girlfriend's insecurities with herself & your relationship-try not to take it too seriously..but be understanding with her. After all, if a FAN flips out when I get into this-imagine, a non-fan! Just be patient, try to discover what's REALLY bothering her, work it out, & just love her. But I agree when we are together and O & A are on.. you know i'm sneaking in the bedroom to hear them!!! and, no, our significant other just wont understand or enjoy our form of entertaiment.. hey rape can be funny when O & A talk about it!!
