| O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00 | We should have a fundraiser. What happened in Astoria was horrible and if we'd did something for the families it would be great. Also I am totally in favor for more events on Long Island. Sometimes I can be able to drive to Jersey. But unless it's near mass transit it won't be feasible for me. This sounds strange but we can also have separate LI and NJ events. My brother is on another fourm unrelated to this and they have meets all over the country. If we plan an aumusement park trip maybe some one can arrange a coach bus or something like that. Just a suggestion. | ||||

I think it would be a good idea and since everyone had such a good time playing softball, I'd like to combine the two. We'll work on getting some prizes for the winning team, people can pay to come and watch, we'll get some other games going on the side, bbq, hang out, run some contests, and get some air. Starting a fundraising pool and having crisis dollars to share in the community is always a good thing and dosn't hurt from a PR standpoint. | Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01 | i think the fund raising idea is a good idea. the bbq and car wash soud good too. the softball game was fun but its hard for long islanders to get to jersey. if there was more things on long island going on jbn and i would be there except its hard for us to get to jersey. we had afun at the softball game and were looking forward to the next event but there should be something on long island once in awhile too i think.
