| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Aug. 00  | what do you do to keep comfortable in the middle of the night???? i was at the beach yesterday and i wasnt paying attention so i got bad sunburn all over my arms from my shoulders, my legs, and my cheast im like a bright shade of red, like a rose it hurts soooo fucking much, so what should i do to fucking feel better so i dont have to wake up at 4 am anymore WHATEVER BEN -----------------------------------------------------------------  I'M ON THE ISLAND OF MISFIT TOYS! | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Motrin (or something similar) for the pain, Lidocain spray (like Solarcaine or Austrailian Gold), aloe vera, cold compresses. Body lotion will help some too, because it makes the skin less tight. Won't take away ALL the pain, but should help. Good luck, and I hope it doesn't turn into sun-poisoning. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Amy...they have burn sprays on the market that work really well...also to sleep at night take a soft towel and wet it down and put it in the freezer about an hour before you're ready to go to sleep...then put it over your shoulders and this should keep you comfortable for a little while. I highly suggest cool showers and lots of aloe too :) Another thing that may help is to take a cotton t-shirt ( a loose one ) and wet it down and freeze it too...that will help bring the skins temperature down and keep you comfortable. Someone told me if you put yogurt all over the sunburn & let it dry, then wash it off, it takes the red away.
