| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01  | This is from Gamespot.com "Konami of America has issued an official statement regarding the release status of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for the Sony PlayStation 2. Currently, the company is reevaluating the game's content and release date in light of this week's tragedies. "Konami of America is still in shock over the recent tragic events," the statement reads. "Metal Gear Solid 2 is about the desire to end violence on a global scale, as the previous games in the series have been. Like everyone in America, Konami is evaluating the impact of these events. In the meantime, all of our thoughts are with New York City and Washington, DC and all of the people whose lives have been touched by this tragedy. There are no words to adequately express our sorrow, but we firmly believe that the people of America will come through this trial stronger than ever." The company's comments follow similar statements released by its parent firm Konami Computer Entertainment Japan, which said that currently it is evaluating the situation and doesn't know what the effects of this week's events will have on Metal Gear Solid 2. There have been reports, however, suggesting that the game's North American release, which was planned for November, could be delayed. Metal Gear Solid 2 is set in and around New York City and focuses on, among other things, terrorist groups. GameSpot will have more as it becomes available." Now I'm REALLY pissed. (Just kidding.);) Seriously, though, they better not fuck around with MGS2. It might be controversial releasing a game like that, but fuck whoever would criticize Konami. This game isn't gonna make new terrorists, and if it offends you, DON'T PLAY IT. I can live with them delaying it a little bit, but this is something we will never fully recover from, so 2 months is as good as 2 years. You might as well just get it out there.  | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | Oh my God! I was a proud Sega CD owner back in the day and Night Trap rocked. I don't remember any gore or anything, but i remember some controversy over it. It wasn't canceled or anything, at the very least i think it was pulled off the shelves after a while.

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jun. 01 | As per today's show, I'm really starting to get pissed about how we're trying to censor the public from listening to certain songs that might have a few words that could be sensitive to the ears of the people who were affected by this tradgety. I can understand a few things that people may not like or may be in good taste to postpone... such as Arnold's new movie 'Collateral Damage'. But when these PRICKS move into my pride and joy of the gaming industry...!!!!! That's when I'm stirred to anger! Why do we have to be so damn sensitive as to delay or censor projects that can be positive in light of these horrible events? Such as MGS2... this is a game that the ultimate goal is fighting against the terrorists, and thwarting their schemes of instilling fear, world domination, global warfare, stealing the lunch money of little children, and harming the little furry animals we all know and love... Anyways... it just seems like this country and people in it act back asswards sometimes. On a lighter note... Whenever I play the demo for MGS2, I always think of Seph... I don't know why!! Perhaps its all the gook speak. ;-) Jk. (Shrugs) I don't know... maybe it's Otacon... or how he catches you jerking off if you stare at the picture of the hot jap girl in the lockers...
