| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00  | I have edited my version of Tecmo 2001 and it is now accurate as of 1/3/01. Here are the features of this version: - The rosters are accurate as of 1/3/01 and team colors are as accurate as possible. - Playbooks have been edited so they mirror the offenses teams use in the NFL now as close as possible - The LOLB position is now the LDE so teams who run a 4-3 defense can line up correctly. I noticed that the ROLB position does not tend to pick up many sacks, no matter how much you change the sim code for that player in that position. - Kickers are no longer as fast as they were in the original ROM. This opens up the return game and ends having a kicker outrun the coverage and make the tackle downfield. - The sim code has been edited for players and teams. The game will sim accuratly when you run a season and players who had big seasons will consistently have big years. Also keep in mind that there are injuries in Tecmo and injuries tend to affect player and team preformance. - The Pro Bowl roster has been edited just in time for the 2001 season. There are 3 RB's, 1 FB and 3 WR's. The 4th WR spot is for the return specialists for each conference. There is Jermaine Lewis for the AFC and Desmond Howard for the NFC. Steve Smith was voted in but the Panters are not in my ROM. 3 Pro Bowl spots that went to Panter players went to other players ( Howard for Smith, Byron Chamberlain for Wesley Walls and Mitch Berger for Todd Saurbraun) If you would like a copy just email me at sblueman22@aol.com. I will send you the following: - A copy of Tecmo 2001 - A palette file you can use with NESten. This file gives the game better color (the Bills and Chiefs won't line up wearing pink anymore) - A notebook file so you can see 6 simulated seasons I ran. See the accuracy for yourself! | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | Ok...if anyone is interested I just finished tinkering my ROM of Tecmo 2001. I edited some playbooks, changed some of the sim code around, and adjusted rosters. It is up to date for the upcoming divisional playoff round. If you would like a copyE-Mail Me. I will send you: 1. A copy of Tecmo 2001 2. A exe. file for NESten, the emulator you can use to play NES games on your PC 3. A palette file to fix the bland colors the original game has. You can patch it onto NESten. | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | I had some major changes to my Tecmo ROM over the weekend to update it for the 2001 season. I edited all the offensive lines so the players attributes mirror the teams offensive lines preformances this year. I also edited the player attributes so the top teams this year would rank at the top. If you use Tecmo Manager 2000 and check the team attributes, you will see the top 12 teams in my ROM are all playoff teams, and the list goes down from there all the way to the Bills and Lions. I also edited the sim code some more so it is updated and more accurate for the 2001 season.
