Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01	I dont own a PS2 and dont know alot of people that have one but im sure alot of you have one. Is it really all that good or what? I dont plan on getting one im happy with my pc games. If i do get a new system I think im going to get Xbox.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	I think ps2 is alittle of both hype and great.Right now the number of really good games are'nt out yet.I mean sure Madden looks great but it's still the same Madden game.SAme with most of the sports titles i've played for it.With the exception of knockout kings 2001.(Great boxing game).But when MGS2 comes and FFX arrives PS2 will be ontop.I'd say if you have a dreamcast and dont want to spend the 299 dont,it's not worth it.But if you wanna shell out the cash go for it it's worth it in the long run.

Hanger-On Registered: Feb. 01	rite now man the ps2 is pure hype there is really anything on it that cant be done on my dreamcast and since the dc is 1/3 the price with over 2 as many bteer games its just hype if i was you i'd wait for the price to drop to maybe 200 then i'd pick it by then it should have better games beware of my dragon

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	Sony actually made the PS2 with some amazing hardware that no programmer knows how to utilize yet. That's why PS2's games are nothing special - many actually have CHOPPY GRAPHICS, something you rarely see on the DC. Also, the load time blows (all-but-solved on the DC, except for games like Hydro Thunder).... It's a huge hype, but ya know what? Sony knew that. And they knew people would buy it no matter what. And they were right. The system may not be that great, but they win anyway. I've had a DVD player for two full years, so that capability means nothing to me. I don't have a PSX (the graphics in every game were fuzzy and horrible - plus they couldn't even do X-Men vs. SF right because the system had no memory and no expansion)... so backwards compatibility means nothing as well. Sony is getting people to buy it simply because PSX was the best-selling console EVER - better than even 8-bit Nintendo. It's all momentum. And they were right, because America is full of sheep.
