Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00	A question for all you tech experts out there: With my new system, my motherboard's bios starts up and it presents the system and cpu's temp to me...my question to you is what's the normal, avg. temperature for my cpu and system to operate at? It's an Athlon XP 1700+ with an EPOX 8KHA+...the highest it gets is usually a low 90s system and low 100s CPU. AIM/E-mail

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	Definitely couldn't hurt to throw in another fan. I have a fan that slides into one of the free PCI bys and it does a great job helping to cool off the case (but it doesn't conect to a PCI slot, it just sits in the bay - power connects with a standard plug). Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00	god, i hope you mean F and not C cause if it's C your shit's frying. if it's a boxed cpu (meaning retail) you might want to get a better heatsink & fan, something like a dragon orb 3, those are great for cooling the cpu, and they aren't too expensive. you can find it for about $30 at most online shops. the heatsink & fans that come with the boxed cpus are usually shitty from my experience. oh and slot fans help too like the above just said :) 12 dolla
