Ok I've been working on my bands website and I am having a problem with adding links to my band's mp3s. I am using Angelfire to build the site and the mp3's are uploaded to the server. Plus they download when I click on the link already on the site. The problem is when other users try and download the songs. It says to check the files because they may be corrupt. How would I solve this problem? I'm fairly computer savy, just not too familiar with correcting error messages. Any info you guys can conribute would be greatly appreciated.
I was also thinkingit might be easier to switch them to real media, i just don't know how to do it. Like I said any info would be appreciated.

The first thing you should try is using a computer that doesn't have the MP3 files on them. When you dowload them, your computer may be playing the files that are already on your hard drive, i.e., not accessing the files from the c:/windows/Temporary Internet Files folder. Also, how did you upload the files to your site? If you are using those provided FTP programs that freebee webspace providers give you, they don't always upload it correctly. I'm not sure if an MP3 file needs to be uploaded via Binary or ASCII, but I would assume it would be ASCII. If you get the latest version of CuteFTP, it will choose whatever method is the correct one automatically. Go to http://www.globalscape.com to get a 30 day trial. If you are using the internet for a web page, a good FTP client is a necessity. CuteFTP is worth the money.
