| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | • There is a possibility that the WWF will unify the WWF and WCW tag team belts, and make only one tag team championship for both promotions. If this happens, the same might happen with WWF's light heavyweight title and WCW's cruiserweight belt. If this does go through at all, it will be soon, and the Undertaker and Kane will hold the unified tag team championship, while X-Pac is expected to be the titleholder for the light heavyweight division. It would be odd if this occurred with the likelihood of WCW getting their own TV slot, so if it does happen, it may be a hint that the WWF/Alliance will be involved with each other forever. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Weren't they having a hard time trying to get a timeslot for the WCW show? I remember it being suggested as a saturday night possibility, but for whatever reason it didn't happen. I'm not so sure Vince wants to have the WCW as a separate entity to WWF. Everyone knows that its still a McMahon production, so why have a WCW as a "competitive" division when in reality there is no competition? If anything, just have another show on saturday nights or whenever, and make it like a METAL or JAKKED, but more wrestling and less weekly recaps. | Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | i think it would depend on how they split it up. It's not the same WCW stars. there is no flair or steiner. Booker T is the big name and he seems more like a WWF guy now. with stone cold on the WCW side it really makes it seem like one big WWF show(instead of an "Invasion") and it will be tough to split them if they don't do it soon. if they can split it up and keep good storylines going of course i would watch to. but i don't want a loaded WWF and a weak WCW show. mix up the talent | ||||

Any question I may have had might have been answered in another thread, therefore to avoid any possible appearance of tooldom, this would have been edited. I think the WWF should pick say the 37 best wrestlers on their roster and cut everybody else loose. Save room for Ric Flair, Scott Steiner, possibly Goldberg down the line. Everyone else is expendable and not needed in the WWF. Let them go to MECW or wherever else they could find work. I hate not being able to see the up and coming wrestlers get their time in the spot light because people who are past their prime are fighting back stage to get or keep a title that they really don't need in order to be over with the fans. I mean, is it truly necessary for the rock to hold a title? Sure he is huge with the fans, and they expect him to hold it, but is it really necessary? Does he truly need it to be over with the fans? No he doesn't. Does a person like Booker T need that title to be over with the fans? For now yes he does. He is going to drop back into the mid-card shuffle and get lost now that he hasn't got the title. What about the Underbiker? Does he need a tag title (or 2 actually) in order for the fans to cheer him? No, but do palumbo and o'haire, who are busting their asses and showing the world what young talent can do? | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | The reason we are having 2 weeks of live Smackdowns is because the split was supposed to happen now, with WCW getting RAW and WWF getting Smackdown. I'm against unifying the titles because it dilutes the whole invasion. The WCW doesn't have property to defend, like the WWF, that way.
