It has been reported that the WWF are in preliminary negotiations with Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior to possibly appear at WrestleMania X-Eight next year at Toronto's Sky Dome. Although we are not aware of any major details, we have heard that the WWF has spoken with representatives for both Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior about the issue and no deal has been reached as of yet.
If the parties were to cut an agreement that would have the two legends appear at the March 2002 pay per view, this certainly would be a historic event. Fans may or may not know, but both of these superstars participated in a historic match at WrestleMania 6, the only other WrestleMania to be held at this venue. As rumors persist that Hulk Hogan is planning to launch his own wrestling federation, the outcome of these alleged negotiations should give us more insight into his dealings and his plans for the future. It is important to note that no party has publicly confirmed these talks but news leaks and rumors have spread, as often happens in the wrestling world.

For most fans, this could be worth it from a sentimental point of view, but unless these two are going to move forward in the WWF after the alleged event, I don't see the point in having this match. If I want to see them go at it, I could always pop in my Wrestlemania 2000 DVD and watch the match on the History disc.

For a lot of people, this would just be a sequel to the Gimmick Battle Royal. The younger fans, some who weren't even BORN for WM6, would have no idea who these guys are or what's going on.

Some things are too important to be taken seriously.

Very true - a point I didn't bring up in my earlier post!. Also, the WWF is a very different world than when these guys were in it - I know theres been talk and rumors about Hogan coming back, but do you really think the WWF needs Hogan back? If he does come back - for a one-shot or as a regular performer, I see it as the WWF shooting itself in the foot. He's a legend, always will be a legend - leave it at that Vince, and concentrate more on the under-used younger talent that you have - any one of them if given the right push and training could become the next Hogan for you!

First of all, I would take anything reported on prowrestling.com with a grain of salt. They don't exactly have a great track record when it comes to accuracy.

With that said, if Vince McMahon brings these two in for Wrestlemania, he is officially on crack.

Maybe in there day when they where the king's of the ring, but I agree with what some of the others have said I would rather remember them for the legends they once where. I am quite sure that with all the ring rust from the months of not wrestling that it would be horrible match to say the least.

they didnt even have a good wrestling match in Wrestlemania 6...what makes u think it will be good now?? I admit, at the time i was little, and they were the biggest 2 superstars ever. Now, their times have long past (especially Warrior).

Let Hogan win. What makes the Ultimate Warrior better? They are both washed up has beens. Let them have there go. Hogan winning could set up a feud between them as that would put them each at 1 win over eachother at Wrestlemania. Sets up a tie breaker that could be built up over the year and give us their farewell match at x-9 where they battle to no contest and actually entertain us for a change. Hey it could happen. I mean this is the WWF right?

There is nothing good at all that can come from a match like this. The only thing it will provide is alot of setups for very funny jokes. Like others said at the time their match at WM6 seemed great, watching it now it isnt very good at all, and there is no possible way these two would be able to put on a match together. Neither man needs the money and I dont see why either one would agree to do this because it will only make people remember them in an extremely horrible way. The only thing I can think of is that Hogan may want to do this to promote his new federation (if hes even getting one)

Harry is 100% correct. Although this is the WWF and we can never say never, these two has-beens have no reason whatsoever to return to the ring, especially if they want to make some sort of impact. All this will do for both wrestlers is make them look old and slow, and validate that their time has certainly passed them by.

Here is the latest update:Written By WUL Journalist Sam Husary on September 10, 2001

- Recently, I reported that there were rumors going around that the WWF was in negotiations with Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior to appear at WrestleMania 18 next year. Sources close to this situation are closing down all rumors. Apparently, Hogan is still working hard on getting backing for his own promotion and has no current plans to make any appearances in the WWF.

They sucked 3 years ago in WCW, and the Warrior wasn't wrestled since as far as I know...forget about these unappreciative assfuckers...I'd rather see a Demolition/L.O.D. match
