Maybe they will do an angle where Kronic with or without help from the DUdleys beat Kane's ass in before the PPV and Undertaker has to go it alone.

Finally the Dudleys can put put Mr. No sell through a table and at least get one of the belts off of them

i think now that austin beat the hell out of undertaker on raw, maybe he'll b out too, and wwf will strip taker and kane of the titles, and have dudleyz against big slow and tajiri or somin, and torrie defects to wwf at the ppv or somin

I hope that finally, we will see a little less from Undertaker...he's not interesting anymore, and all he cares about is crushing people...that's not what the WWF needs, especially with so many new people who desperately need to establish some credibility...

We've already seen rapid ascensions of Tajiri, Rhyno and the best of them all, Rob Van Dam, but still we're forced to watch a slow, no-selling guy in high profile matches...let's see some new long term tag teams instead of bastardizing random duos...

Test needs an opponent. He is in the middle of a super huge push, and he has no opponent yet. I wouldnt mind seeing Test as the WCW champ very soon.

I agree the RVD match will probably be the best...it will be cool to see who the crowd is behind, both are pretty popular. i read alot that Stephanie may turn on RVD and go with Jericho...meaning RVD turns WWF. would be intersting to see I guess, especially with HHH coming back sometime soon.

i just hope the PPV is worth the money

Just a couple of dumb questions here, not directed at anyone specific:

I've seen Test pimped rather strongly on these boards. Many of you seem to think he has quite the future ahead of him. My question is, why? What is it that Test has, in your eyes, that other WWF wrestlers seem to lack? I don't know, really, but I see him as just another big guy who can throw smaller guys around, but can't do anything mildly entertaining when he's in front of people. Is it his muscles? His worked affair with Steph? His monosyllabic name? His Diesel-style offense? So what am I missing???

My next big dumb question is, what's so great about RVD? Sure, he can do some pretty flips and tumbles, but so can Kerri Strug. He can do a Moonsault, but so can Nidia from Tough Enough. He can kick chairs, but, uh, so can I. So, my other dumb question is, what makes RVD a good wrestler?

Dude, are you serious? Yeah, sure Nidia can do a moonsault in the ring, but can she do high flying moves 6 or seven times in one six minute segment? That is really what sets RVD apart from everyone else. He was better in ECW. It is hard to understand why he is so great in the WWF if you haven't seen him in the ECW. He was the best. He is the best. He is willing to do twice what, say Jeff Hardy, is willing to do in one televised show.

Hey OkOnkwo, i understand why u might not like Test. Personally ive been asking for a push for 3 years with this guy, and im just really happy that hes got it. To me, hes a taller, maybe even stronger HHH. It hurt too that he was gonna be the guy but then HHH took over the storyline with Steph, and Test got trashed. A steph, Test reunuion would be interesting (i mean steph cheating on hhh with test)

2nd off though Sir, u lost all credibility of ur argument with the RVD question. How can you not like this guy and everything he brings to the table. I wont even get into it that much because it is so obvious that RVD is an AWESOME wrestler and performer.

Okay, I, too, agree that there's gonna be a switch at the PPV, but it stems from a rather innocent seeming incident...

On SmackDown, after Kurt Angle got wheeled into the back, he was greeted by Jericho & the Hardys...Jericho was particularly vocal in his support of Angle during his being loaded into the ambulance...

Seems like nothing, right? Maybe not...

In '91 , WCW ran an angle where Sting was attacked from behind by Lex Luger on a Clash Of The Champions event...as Sting was being wheeled into the ambulance, Bobby Eaton was in the back with him, encouraging him to get his knee checked out...later that night, Sting lost the US title to Rick Rude, managed by Paul E. Dangerously...and only weeks later, Eaton himself joined the Dangerous Alliance...

Who booked this angle? Paul E. himself, who happens to be writing a lot of the angles right now...

Obviously, I could be wrong, but I never felt so sure that Jericho would be turning than when I saw him by that ambulance...

too lazy to use quote tags, so...

disgustip8ed:

--Dude, are you serious?

Yes.

--Yeah, sure Nidia can do a moonsault in the ring, but can she do high flying moves 6 or seven times in one six minute segment?

That's not the point. Since when do "high flying moves" = good wrestling match? I'd rather see one highspot that fits into the context of a match, than 6 or 7 thrown in randomly with seemingly no purpose.

--That is really what sets RVD apart from everyone else.

Like, say, Essa Rios?

--He was better in ECW.

I'd say he's improved since joining the WWF. But he still has quite a way to go.

--It is hard to understand why he is so great in the WWF if you haven't seen him in the ECW.

I've seen just about everything available from ECW. He had some good matches with Sabu way back when (including a very nice strecther match, actually), the Jerry Lynn matches were very good, but that's about all I can really think of right now. He needs a superior worker to carry the match, because he has no clue when it comes to pacing, structure, and psychology. Compare an RVD vs Balls Mahoney match to a Masato Tanaka vs Balls Mahoney match and you hopefully should see my point.

--He was the best. He is the best.

Now you're REALLY stretching.

--He is willing to do twice what, say Jeff Hardy, is willing to do in one televised show.

When I figure out what that means, I'll get back to you.

Cluster F:

Regarding Test, I guess you just like the guy. I can't knock you for that. I just have yet to see ONE good Test match.

Sorry that I wasn't able to make you see what I was talking about. Just compare all the matches tha RVD has done since he got back to the WWF. He has been able to do high flying moves in main event matches. Yes, the Hardy's did this in the one main event that they did three weeks ago, but it hasn't made a match or made the caliber of match that RVD has been able to create. I know that this alone doesn't sound like much, but think of the mentallity of the WWF. High flying doesn't always sell main event matches. He is able to put over a match and able to sell the moves of whoever he is wrestling. He isn't the most sought after wrestler for nothing.
I know that this may not be enough to convince you, but it's enough to convince the viewers of the WWF. And that is what counts. He is willing to go the extra mile to make the main event REALLY seem like a main event match. Not just a big name match, but a well wrestled and well coreagraphed(?) match. No one else in the WWF is given that freedom. There is a reason for that, and its his talent. I am sorry if this didn't make the argument that you were expecting. But it does make the argument for the thooooooooooousaands of wrestling fans that were waiting for RVD to make his debut in the WWF.

Test Vs Shane McMahon, Summerslam 1999, and the European Championship match at Wrestlemania X7 was pretty damn special too, but I'd only attribute a small amount of that to Test, a lot of it was due to Guerrerro.
