What do you guys think of Heyman as a replacement for Lawler at the announce table? Personally I'd rather see him there than Michael Cole. They need a color guy, so it's pretty much him or Tazz. Should he stay or go?

If they're gonna concentrate on Taz in the ring, they need to keep Heyman around...

Stay, absoultely.

I was kind of hoping for Heenan to make a last run, but the business has passed him I guess.

Paul E should let good ole J.R. speak once in a while though.

I'm just disappointed the ECW invasion hasn't followed. How cool would it be to see Rhino spear the Rock at the end of the match ?

Keep Heyman. Unless Bobby Heenan is on the way back and they let him go nuts like he did in the 80's.

I say stay. He wasn't the same Paul E. that used to be but chalk that up to time away from the mike. Give him time and he'll back to his old self. He did have some good digs at TNN and Lawler. And he even had the obscure reference of the night when he asked JR if he'd "drink his Kool-Aid".

I just want back the days when announcers could say stuff like: "Tito Santana is like a cue ball. The harder you smack him the more English you get out of him." (Bobby Heenan)

I'm gonna stray from the common concensus and say that Heyman generally sucks on Raw. For several reasons:
1. He insulted the network. People get fired over that sort of thing.
2. He took a few unnecessary shots at the King. COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY.
3. Despite what he'll tell you, he's trying too much to be the King, which he never will be.
4. "Oh my God...One second away! One second away from being the new champ! One second away from successfully defending the title!" I'm about one second away from strangling him! GAH!
5. He's taking pleasure in Scotty's pain. Sick bastard.
6. No one wanted to know about Tongans eating their young.
7. Half the night all he did was reiterate what J.R. said in his own words.

I don't care if we get stuck with Tazz or MC or Hermie or Coach or whoever. This guy plain sucks Vince McMahon's left grapefruit.

He was ok, but he needs to find his niche still. They are like wrestlers, they have to find what works and stick with it.

I agree that he needs a little time. Once he settles in I think he could be great.

I say give the guy a chance. He sucked ass at the beginning of the show, but as he got more comfortable, he seemed to improve. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

I didnt think he was that bad. Remember its his first show, he will get the hang of it. He is the best they have right now to fill that position.

I think Heyman just needs to get comfortable with the WWF product and with JR. I think he'll be much better with a little time.

I don't think he meshed too good w/ JR tonight. But it's only his first show, so I'll give it a few more weeks before i say boot him or keep him.

I do believe there is alot more to Paul E in the WWF than just announcing.I hope he influences the the higher-ups to allow flaming tables...

I also liked the fact he dissed TNN & wore the ECW cap.He also broke kayfabe & admiited to Kat & Lawler's departure

Maybe we will see an ECW faction led by him?I also hope Vinnie Mac throws him some cash & uses ECW as a minor league developmental project

Paul E & JR went back & forth with eachother pretty damn well.I do believe(not 100% sure) they worked together in WCW for a while,so they know all about eachother

I say keep heyman either way vince and heyman have always kept good relations and heyman would have had a job with the wwf either way if and probably a strong if ecw goes under. Heyman was originally gonna be a booker and still may be but for a first time he did very well. Once he learns to play off ross he will be even better. lets not forget Lawler sucked ass for a while until ross helped him out and taught him the tricks of the trade.

I just thought of something. Opie and Anthony's first XFL Gameday wasn't the most gooder show of all the episodes.

I say stay. If they need Tazz in the ring then they need Paul E. at the announce position. Plus Paul can add to the creative storylines. Look how much he put Mike Awsome over. Look at it really. Mike is now a under under undercarder in Wreally Crappy Wrestling. He can also bring in other talent like Little Spike Dudley and all the other ECW guys. All hail Paul and his creative ability!

If (when) ECW finally says goodbye, Heyman should stay because the WWF is in desperate need of a booker who gives a shit about someone other than the top 5 or 6 guys in the promotion. And no one is better at making something out of nothing like Paul E. Imagine what he could do with all the talent and money the WWF has. But Heyman's job should NOT be on-camera! He's got a face for radio.
The man who should have a seet behind a WWF mic (only if there is no chance for ECW to resurface) should be....OH MY GOD.....

Who's with me?!
