I haven't seen this posted yet, but still a new thread is good, to draw attention.

Smackdown will be airing in the usual Excess timeslot of 10pm-12am tonight, Saturday 9/15.

For anyone who did not catch it on Thursday (everyone around NYC), this is your chance to see the tribute show that was put on, and to truly form your opinion about what was put on.

I saw it live - I thought it was a good show, not disrepectful as some think. The tribute was handled in the same way they dealt with Owen Hart's death - before and after every commercial, they would show an individual superstar giving his/her thoughts or personal insight about the events of Tuesday, 9/11.

Whether you're a critic or supporter of this tribute - if you haven't seen it yet, you don't fully know what you're even arguing about.

I will never forget that these are the same people who brought you Wrestlemania 7 and tried to paint Sgt. Slaughter as an Iraqi sympathizer.

I can only HOPE that they have learned their lesson as that was nothing short of disgusting.

Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country,
and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country.
We are a free people because of your efforts.

Slaughter does come out (along with the entire WWF staff) waving American flags.

If that's any consolation. :)

I guess it's Excess with the same tribute bits.

TNN's site said Smackdown, so don't blame me...

I thought it was very well done. Vince's speech was fantastic and Lillian Garcia's rendition of the anthem brought a tear to my eye. She let it all hang out during that song and it was very emotional.

I wanted to see Stephanie's ridiculous tribute, but I guess it was best they did not air her nonsense.

The Rock and Stasiak skit was really funny.

Yeah, she tried to seem serious as she trivialized the Tuesday attack by comparing to to the McMahon steriod trial.... fucking drivel. They cut it with GOOD reason.
