| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | It's been reported that the WWF has decided to change the name of their December pay-per-view from the traditional Armageddon. The confirmed reason for the change is due to the East Coast Tragedy, the WWF feels it is inappropriate to have an event called Armageddon in light of the events of September 11th. The name for the PPV still hasn't been decided. Raw is War will also face a name change, it will be simply Raw. The name change also deals with the U.S situation.  | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | As a result of the recent terrorist attacks on the US, the WWF will be changing the name of the December 'Armageddon' PPV. The event will now be appropriately named 'Payback'. On a related note, the WWF has also decided to change the names that have distinguished the the two parts of their Monday night program on TNN. The first hours, formerly named 'Raw Is War', will now become RAW I while 'War Zone' will now become RAW II. [Slam!] In an update on Hulk Hogan's involvement with Universal Studios regarding a new wrestling promotion, there is now talk that an announcement will be made in the very near future. It is not known exactly when and if this announcement will take place, but there are strong rumors indicating that the deal is nearly done. You know, 'cause there weren't a lot of survivors in the tragedy...how about changing the Royal Rumble 'cause falling concrete makes a rumbling sound...this is where things start getting stupid...we as a country are too fucking P.C. and are afraid to do ANYTHING that might seem too insensitive...because of this, we change names of events that have nothing to do with the issues at hand...stupid people... | O&A Board Regular Registered: Mar. 01 | yea, but nutts, i can see his point. Things have a tendency to take on a life of their own, such as political correctness. Now Armegeddon's name should have been changed, and thats good. Raw is War and War zone...ehh....i think keeping those names would have been fine. But when the military changes the name of it's operation cause some were offended (BTW, how does "Infinite Justice" offend anyone?), thats where we start getting nuts with the PC shit. Being sensitive to some issues is good, it's the responsible thing to do during certain times. But when things start getting changed because a very small number of people complain, thats a lil too much.  Leave me alone, just shut up and leave me the fuck ALONE! | ||||

He has been the target of many BS like this, He has been tagged as the most Insensitive SOB in America. He cancled a show on the day of the WTC attack because he was been sensitive to the issue. He alterterd the next show to the sympatize with America(the Victim) and what did he get? He was attacked for it. I guess he has finally given up hence changing the names of the shows. Armageddon now PAYBACK RAW IS WAR now RAw1 War zone=RAw2 For the sake of sensitivity, I propose the following changes SAMCKDOWN will now be SLAP NO mercy will be SIGNS OF LOVE Royal Rumble will ne ROYAL VOICES No Way Out Will be THE DOOR Backlash will be BOUNCE BACK Judgment Day will be DAY of LOVE Give me a fucking break. This is WRESTLING where Violence is the game. If you fuckers want sensitivity, go watch ballet or something else.  | ||||
