-- The WWF has renamed what was originally the Armageddon PPV as "Vengeance". After the terrorist attacks on September 11, the WWF changed Armageddon to Payback but have now further changed it to Vengeance, which I assume will be the final name. The event takes place in San Diego, California on December 9.

The following is a press release sent out by the WWF today:

WWFE Doubles Up On Weekend Shows

Starting with this month's tour, WWFE is expanding its weekend touring schedule to extend its reach to smaller venues in communities that might not otherwise have the opportunity to host a WWFE event. On most Saturdays and Sundays, there are now two shows. This weekend, Oct. 13-14, one tour will be in Atlantic City and Madison Square Garden and the second tour will be in Saginaw, Mich., and Toledo, Ohio.

We see this as a way to provide more of our fans with the chance to experience the WWFE live and as a complement to our two weekly programs, "RAW" on TNN and "SmackDown!" on UPN.

The full live events schedule is posted at wwf.com.

WWFE Launches 'Attitude' Video Collection

WWFE has established a new home video sub-brand - The WWF Attitude Collection -- which will feature the best-selling VHS titles from the company's home video library re-packaged and re-priced to $9.95. This new low price-point enables WWFE to expand its home video presence into retail outlets such as supermarkets, drug stores and convenience stores.

"Through our distribution deal with Sony Music Video, we now have the ability to secure distribution for our products into new retail channels across the country. The new line is designed to present these retailers with an attractive price point that encourages them to carry World Wrestling Federation home videos," said Mark Gilula, Vice President of Home Video for WWFE. "We see this new series as a must-have collection for fans who want to re-live some of the greatest matches, moments and rivalries in the history of the World Wrestling Federation."

The initial 12 titles in the series have just been released. They are: Austin 3:16 Uncensored(tm), Austin vs. McMahon(tm), Best of WrestleMania®, Best of Survivor Series®, Undertaker the Phenom(tm), TLC-Tables Ladders Chairs(tm), Three Faces of Foley(tm), Eve of Destruction(tm), The Rock(tm): Know Your Role(tm), Best of Raw, Vol. 1(tm), Unforgiven(tm) 1998, and Rock Bottom(tm) 1998. Additional titles will be added later this year and in 2002. Each title in the line will feature the WWF Attitude logo on the box cover - instantly identifying them as part of this must-have collection.

In addition to the WWF Attitude Collection, WWFE also releases home videos and DVD's each month that include World Wrestling Federation Superstar biographies, Pay-Per-View events, Best Of collections, and a Divas home video.

WWFE Tag-Teams with Burger King in UK Promotion

World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Inc. has kicked off a month-long in-restaurant promotion campaign with Burger King in the United Kingdom, featuring the introduction of "The Rumble Zone" with a free 'goodie bag' containing exclusive WWFE merchandise with every Kids Club meal.

The promotion, supported by a national television ad campaign, began Sept. 28 and runs through Oct. 26 in 482 participating UK Burger King restaurants.

World Wrestling Federation Entertainment returns to the UK on Nov. 3 for its sold-out Pay Per View WWF REBELLION(tm) event at Manchester Evening News Arena. The show sold out in 36 minutes.

I know, lol they buy the domain names to every PPV they do and every event they have and contest. They have to easily have over a 100 domains if not more, plus all the domains they probably secured that they never use.
