-- Kappa Publishing, the parent company of PWI Magazine, has purchased the rights to WOW Magazine after its rights were auctioned off in a Chicago court today. WOW Magazine was forced to be auctioned off after its parent company, H&S, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. The opening bid was for $675,000 but the price it was bought at could have been a lot lower because Kappa Publishing was apparently the only bidder for the title. [1wrestling]

Johnny Ace met with the WWF developmental and former WCW talent who are currently working for Les Thatcher’s Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati, OH yesterday according to 1wrestling. He attempted to convey the idea that while there, everyone should look at their time there much like baseball's spring training. He said they should be proud to be there and only their hard work will earn them a slot in the WWF, although not everyone will make the cut in the end. Ace also suggested that the talent learn and do things according to Thatcher and David Taylor's direction rather than what they 'think' is correct. After addressing the HWA talent, Ace and Fit Finlay worked out with several of the guys in the ring. A similar meeting with the OVW talent in Jeffersonville, IN was scheduled for later in the day and Ace was expected to give a similar address to the wrestlers there.
- Russ Haas, currently in HWA, seems to be making good progress since his heart attack, but will remain out of action for an additional 6 weeks as a precautionary measure.

- Kwee Wee recently missed some time recently due to a concussion and is expected to return at the end of this week.

- The 'name' talent who have been sent to HWA from the WWF have all reportedly been given positive reviews for their attitudes and compliance in assistance in helping train the younger talent. Those from the WWF currently in HWA include Val Venis, Haku, Steve Blackman, Brian Adams, and D-Lo Brown
