Its about that time where things are set in stone as to the year end awards. So I thought I would get this started now and we can debate it over the coming month. Feel free to include your own choices for the basic categories and make up some of your own just like I've made up.

wrestler of the Year-Kurt Angle--No one has had the staying power and heat that he has had throughout the whole year. With or without the belt, he gives a hell of an effort each time out and has, in my mind, become this decade's equivalent of what Bret Hart was to the 90's. The most technical proficient wrestler out there today.

Tag Team of the year-The Dudley Boyz--When they first came into the federation who could have thought that they would have reached the heights they have. They are now getting talk as "the greatest tag team in wwf history" Now whether thats just hype or people believe that is up to everyone's individual discretion but they have become money in the bank for the WWF and get a tremendous amount of heat every time they are out there.

Comeback of the year-Stone Cold--Seemingly fully back from numerous injuries to mention here, Austin has regained his position as "king" of the WWF and rightly so. He still brings his "A" game and he just seems to get better and better no matter what is thrown at him. He is wrestling better now than he did before he was injured, shown by what he did one on one vs. Benoit and also his matches with Angle.

Match of the Year. There would seemingly be too many to just pick one out and give it higher billing than any but for my money The Rock vs. Austin match at wrestlemania was truly an epic that lived up to all its billing. It went back and forth, up and down and had the crowd on the edge of their seats the whole night. Plus the ending, with Austin turning his back on the Rock and the fans, so to speak, helped launch what turned out to be considered the biggest angle in wrestling history. All in all, not too shabby

Best use of a push-(edge and christian) As a tag-team these 2 were awesome, who would have known that individually they would be just as good, if not better. Both have taken advantage of their break-up to become legitimate "main-event" caliber wrestlers and the future looks bright for both. Christian has truly shined in the role of "the weasel, do anything to win wrestler" and Edge is seems to be constantly on the cusp of super-stardom if they give him a chance. I always thought it would be one of the Hardy boys, but I think now that the next "HBK" will be either Edge or Christian.

Now for some unofficial categories...

Most unfortunately timed injury--Chris Benoit- Just as he was reaching his peak, he breaks his neck. Now he will have to start over again.

Most promising talent for the next year--Test--He looks much better than the "Motley Crue" bodyguard he came in as. He can actually have a 5-10 minute match worth watching. Couldnt say that at the beginning of the year.

Best catchphrase of the year--WHAT?????

Why are you still around?X-pac--Nuff' Said

Most teased and wanted addition to the wwf--Hall, Nash and Steiner

Biggest Babe Tie--Trish and Torrie

When will i get my deserved push award--Tazz

Biggest non-surprise of the year--Flair finally joins the WWF

I definitely agree with all your choices Face except for these:

Match of the Year: I have to go with the RVD-Jeff Hardy match at Invasion here. Those two just pulled out all the stops and put on one hell of a show. These are two I could watch wrestle time and time again.

Biggest Babe: Definitely Torrie is the hottest, but with Lita 2nd instead of Trish.

I definitely agree that Kurt Angle is the wrestler of the year. In fact, i agree with most everything that you have on that list except, only Steiner is wanted by me, they can stay away from Nash. I want Hall too, but he comes with Nash.

Test is definitely the next best thing in wrestling. Although Edge is right up there, mainly because he is getting pushed more.

Y2J is getting the best use of a push in my opinion, but that Edge and Christian thing was great too.

Match of the year is tough to give out, because there are just so many matches to pick from. I personally liked the RVD-Jeff Hardy match the most, but i was on the edge of my seat for the Rock vs Austin too.

Everything else i agree with.

Wrestler of the Year= Tie HHH/Kurt Angle

Match of the Year= Rock vs. Austin (only cause the RVD Vs. Hardy match was not what it could have been and the fued died off too fast)

Tag Team of the Year= The dudley boyz no doubt.

Promo of the Year= Tie between rock and jericho rhyming against booker, shane and steph with the classic line "two plus two? oh that's easy that's thomas jefferson sucka." Also the Austin and Angle promo with mcmahon with angle wearing the little cowboy hat and austin playing guitar for mcmahon.

Worst untimely injury = HHH it's hurting and showing especially now, but atleast he's comin back.

Best additions to WWF = No doubt R.V.D he is the future of the WWF.

Worst angle of the Year = Rikishi admiting it was him who hit austin and playing the race angle.

Best shoot promo of the year: Paul Heyman on Vince McMahon ruining the business I couldn't agree more on this one.

Most deserving of a push= Edge

Fastest Rising superstar of the Year= R.V.D trully amazing and proving once again he's the whole fuckin show and now his nickname of Mr Monday night rings true.

Feud of the Year= Kurt Angle vs Steve Austin

Funniest moment of the Year = Eevery single promo involving austin fighting with angle over the affection of vince, especially the little cowboy hat, the hugs, the guitar, the cookies, the badges it was trully priceless.

smartest move outside the ring = Signing RVD to a WWF contract out of all the other alliance stars and dumping Buff Bagwell.

THE ANTI- AWARDS

WORST WRESTLER OF THE YEAR--Undertaker. Your gimmick sucks, your wrestling sucks, you have brought nothing, and you refuse to let anyone ever beat you. Just Retire!

WORST TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR--Kronik. Hey you guys were good, for the week that you were around. Honorable mention--ShowGuns, The Big Show and Billy Gunn, man if only an anvil fell on that side of the ring...

WORST COMEBACK--Haku. And you complained the WCW was using you wrong?

WORST USE OF A PUSH--X-Pac. He was given the a few titles during the year, and everyone wonders why. God damn, he should just leave.

BEST TIMING FOR AN INJURY--HHH. Yeah, it's a little sadistic, but before his injury people were questioning if Triple H had too much influence and was taking away from the quality of wrestling (especially when it seemed Stone Cold was his lackey when they were a tag team). He goes down and wrestling is absolute crap without him and the marks are begging for his return.

WORST CATCH PHRASE--Chris Benoit's "Prove Me Wrong." That was just annoying.

WORST BABE OF THE YEAR--Chyna. Playboy, and a little femming up at the end couldnt help her. Plus, she actually thought she was worth as much as Stone Cold and The Rock??? What the hell was she thinking?

LONGEST RISE TO THE TOP--Tazz. Still didn't happen god damn it. The guy announces on Smackdown, does Tough Enough, and stays right where he is. Guy needs a push.

WORST PROSPECT FOR 2002--Al Snow. Sorry to say it, but the guy has been in what, 4 matches this year? With Tough Enough 2 figuring to take up a good chunk of time, the future doesn't look good for Al.

WORST MOMENT OF THE YEAR--Kurt Angle waiting on the bridge for Austin. It was a little while back with Stone Cold, then the Rock, and Stone Cold again a few weeks earlier when he threw Angles medals off the bridge. Should have let it go after the third time.
