The following are some highlights of predictions the recent WWF magazine made for some superstars. Please take them only as rumors because the WWF magazine is notorious for simply stirring the pot and much of what they predict is intended only as "entertainment"...

- The Rock: It will be a landmark year for the Rock but he will experience a setback around Wrestlemania X-8. A former WWF main eventer will challenge the Rock, but he will come out of the battle stronger than before.

- Steve Austin: Around the beginning of summer, someone from Steve Austin's past will show up to steer him in the right direction.

- Triple H: If "The Game" attempts to stand alone as a loner, he will fail but if he teams up with a "figure from his past" and leads a faction, nothing will stop him from reaching the top of the mountain.

- Kurt Angle: He will go on an ankle-breaking spree until summertime, when a most "dangerous man" with a lengthy submission background will enter the WWF with his sights set on breaking Angle's ankle.

- Undertaker: Personal trauma will lead the Undertaker back to the darkside. His actions wil make every fan regret ever wanting to see the return of the "Man from the Darkside".

- Chris Jericho: Y2J will team up with a trusted companion who will help him complete his "meteoric rise" to the top of the WWF. All this happens after he loses a major title to a very much hated foe.

- Booker T: Will get tired of getting disrepected in the WWF and will look towards a family member in his quest for respect. However, this family member will turn on him and Booker will have to make a decision - whether to continue his battle in the WWF or to take a leave of absence.

- Hardy Boyz & Lita: A "lover's scorn" will rip the brothers apart. One Hardy will emerge victorious but the other will be "banished from the public eye", but just on a temporary basis.

- Perry Saturn: Will finally get over the loss of Moppy by meeting and falling in love with a broom.

- XPac: By February 2, fans will stop chanting "X-Pac Sucks" and instead will be saying three magical letters when they see X-Pac and his friends. This reformation will thrust X-Pac back into the spotlight and lead him and his friends to sell tons of merchandise.

- Kane: Will score a major victory early in the year before feuding with another big man. However, a weakness will be revealed at that time, causing Kane to go into hiding until the dust clears.

- Tajiri: As May Day approaches, an old foe from Japan along with his "sensei" will attempt to buy Tajiri's services or end his career if he chooses not to cooperate. Tajiri will realize that he cannot conquer this opponent and will leave his fans "misty eyed".

- Edge: Will come close to winning the WWF championship but each time he does, Christian will come in the way. Only when he removes Christian from the picture will Edge accomplish his goal.

- Christian: He will recruit followers from a group of angry, disgruntled siblings.

- APA: Will rename themselves as the APAA (Acolytes Protesting Against Alcohol) and will become spokesmen for herbal tea.

- Rob Van Dam: RVD will walk out of Canada as a champion and thus begin an impressive 23-month reign as titlist. He will dispose of all challengers, however, a man with the initials "JL" will prove to be the only viable contender RVD has.

-Shane McMahon: He will become obsessed with becoming a wrestler and will undergo martial arts submission wrestling training before returning to the WWF full-time. After experiencing a lot of success early on, he will meet his match in RVD, a match that will be dubbed "battle of the Van Terminators".

- Rhyno: The Man-Beast will introduce an "extreme" and familiar title to the WWF which the federation will not recognize. However, an old hardcore foe will steal his coveted title away from him, which will in turn make Rhyno focus his attentions on other titles.

- Raven: Will team up with a returning superstar to form the "Rabid Flock". The duo will win many tag team championships together.

- Chris Benoit: See Raven.

- Mike Awesome: Awesome will finally get the recognition he deserves by chasing away one of the WWF's top superstars out of the federation.

- Kanyon: Will earn the nickname "Wrestlemania MVP" and then focus his attention on being featured on the cover of WWF Magazine.

Yeah JL I am also assuming is Jerry Lynn, but once again remember this mostly can be bullshit also.

The whole DX reformation who knows what they mean when they say a "figure" from HHH's past, that could be Chyna for all we know or maybe him teaming with stone cold or god forbid Rikishi.

So don't always think it is the obvious cause whatever you think they are going to do they usually do the complete opposite. If it was that predictable who would watch?

That's all I could think about when reading some of this. The obvious references to Ken Shamrock during the Kurt Angle prediction is clearly just meant to get people up in arms over Shamrock's "imminent return" and then laugh at them when it turns out Shamrock never does return, for example. Hell, there are a few of them:

The nWo references with HHH and specifically X-pac.

The Stevie Ray reference with Booker T.

The ECW Title references with Rhyno.

The Raven-Benoit (who is a "rabid" wolverine) connections with the flock, or should I say the "Rabid" Flock as they put it.

Some of them are just clearly jokes, or at least EVEN CLEARER than the ones I already mentioned:

The RVD stuff was clearly a reference to his 23 month reign as ECW TV champion which ended due to injury while he was having a feud with Jerry Lynn, who used to wrestle in WCW as "Mr. JL", which is where they got that cute "JL" thing from.

Basically, the WWF Magazine knows that some people are gonna look at this and start rumors about Nash and Hall returning in "February", Shamrock coming back, RVD winning a title at Wrestlmania (in "Canada"), Stevie Ray coming in (which is a rumor has already started, probably based on this), and a whole buncha other shit. If they didn't overdo it and have every single prediction so obviously an attempt to stir shit up, it probably would've worked considering the internet wrestling crowd in general will start a rumor out of anything, but I guess they wanted to see just how far the stupidity of many internet wrestling "reporters" goes.

Knowing them by visiting many wrestling sites in my day, I'm sure they will indeed STILL be stupid enough to spread all these rumors and use the WWF Magazine as an "unidentified source." I'm not joking either, there are some Grade A idiots out there running these rumor sites!

Gonzo, those are great predictions and I hope most come true, some are just stupid no offence
but I am still wondering who are these people from the past you're talking about? My prediction is Michaels and Shamrock come back and form a tag team, winning the tag titles and Michaels ending Taker's career in a Casket match, of course Taker came back to the Dark Side. Shamrock kicks Angle's ass and the Rock has his major set back and feuds with some up-and-coming stars. Benoit has a good return and goes to main event form feuding with Austin and HHH. Jericho has an up-and-down year with him losing some titles and winning some.
