O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Story By: Matthew Boone January 31, 2002 -- Although negotiations have not yet been finalized between the WWF and Scott Steiner, rumors persist that Scott Steiner could very well sign with the WWF in the near future to take part in the returning nWo storyline. -- Both Jim Ross, WWF's Vice President of Talent Relations, and Scott Steiner himself have made it pretty clear that he won't be in the WWF unless he is at peak condition. With a badly injured foot stemming all the way back to his days in the now demised WCW, one would assume Steiner won't be ready to go in time for the nWo storyline. -- Apparently Scott Steiner's condition has continued to improve to the point where he should be ready to do some work and obtain a temporary light schedule. He could not wrestle 20 minute matches on pay-per views and work the WWF's style at the current present with the status of his injury. -- However, the nWo is only prepared to debut at No Way Out, which isn't until February 17th. At the most, they will only invade a match or make some sort of comotion on the show. The nWo, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall, will not be wrestling official matches themselves until WrestleMania which is still nearly two months from now. -- This would definately put Scott Steiner in a situation where he could sign to debut as an original returning nWo member. The only hold up would be contract negotiations and creative plans as the WWF has not scheduled the nWo storyline to have Scott Steiner involved. Adjustments could easily be made, only if both the WWF and Scott Steiner are interested. The WWF has wanted to sign Scott Steiner for quite sometime now, but have shyed away from doing so due to his injury. The ball is in Scott Steiner's court at this point and there is still 7-8 weeks to determine if he will sign and become part of the nWo storyline.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | IMO, Scott Steiner is the MAIN ingredient to the NWO storyline. Imagine Scott vs HHH, or even better, Scott vs Angle. Or combine ANgle and Scott, since they are both established collegiate amateur wrestling stars, and they are both built like houses (obviously Scott is a little bigger, but they both have that Greko-Roman build). **EDIT** Here is a statement from THE MAN himself on his status. Scott Steiner Issues Statement About US Wrestling Status Posted By Widro on 01.31.02 I just returned from a week away on vacation and got a message that I had signed to wrestle at some event in Vegas. That was news to me since I was out of town when I supposedly signed to appear! Don't believe eveything you hear or read on the Internet. Sometimes people use names to make their event without those 'names' even knowing about it. I will not be seen in the U.S. until I am 100% ready to dominate at the highest level...and that is not far away. Stay tuned. credit: BootyDaddy.com Go Knicks, Giants, Rangers, and Rutgers Men's Basketball Long Live Psycho Bitch This message was edited by Cluster F on 1-31-02 @ 10:30 AM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | It would be great to see him in the fed. Steiner's matches have always been fun to watch. I don't know if I am the only one, but I think DDP should get involved in this somehow, I mean, he was a main eventer in WCW, and now they brought him down to the European Chamionship level, and they gave him some stupid gimmick too, why don't they put him in a feud with Booker or something, just to bring him up the ladder.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | It would be great to see steiner back in action, back in the wwf kicking ass and stuff... about ddp, i don't see him going up the ladder, but i do see his old gimmick from wcw coming into play soon. I see HHH getting approached by hall nash and hogan (plus hbk and xpac) to join the nwo, but saying no way, cause he wasn't approached sooner, like before hbk who hasn't been around in years. he gets all pissed, and puts the nwo at the top of his hitlist...
