Will it ever happen? We may never know. This is from 1wrestling.com (no derogatory comment needed):

quote:

The WWF has rescheduled their 3/25 house show in Wheeling, WV for May 1. The WWF informed the Civic Center yesterday and has posted a story on their site saying that the show has been moved "due to logistical problems".

Initially, that show was scheduled to be the first house show that would go up against a live Raw show (from State College, PA that night) and was rumored to be the first full week of the split of the WWF into two promotions. The latest rumor had been that the WWF would split right after WrestleMania, with the working plan being that by the following week, they would go to two distinct touring companies with their own TV shows. Of course, the split has been pushed back so many times now that until it happens, it's all tentative, but the WWF says it's coming.

As it stands now, there is no house show scheduled for the following week, on April 1. Raw is set for Albany, NY that night while Smackdown is set to tape in Rochester, NY. The following week, Raw is set for Phoenix, AZ while they will run a house show in Yuma, AZ. Smackdown will be taped the next night in Tucson, AZ. The following week has Raw in College Station, TX while they run a house show in Huntsville, TX. Smackdown will be taped in Houston. On 4/22, Raw is in St. Louis, MO while the house show is in Ames, IA. The 4/23 Smackdown is in Peoria, IL. April ends with Raw in Buffalo, NY on 4/29 while the house show is in Erie, PA. Smackdown will be taped the next night in Pittsburgh, PA. So, the entire crew will be close by if/when the split happens so that people can be at either show, as needed. ... Thanks to Matt for his help with this story.

Well, all I gotta say is that it better happen before Backlash, or else, InDemand will look slighty foolish with it's press releases lately, such as this one for the Backlash PPV itself:

quote:

"Be there as the NEW RAW franchise helmed by Vince McMahon takes on the warriors of its new competitor NEW Shakedown, headed by Ric Flair. It's sure to be history in the making."

I'm assuming they fucked up by calling Ric Flair's WWF the "Shakedown" franchise instead of the Smackdown franchise, but in any case, it looks like it will happen BEFORE Backlash or at least BEFORE the Apacolypse, but I don't know how sure we can be of that with all these changes that seem to happen. It wouldn't surpeise me if they try to ride it out and make Backlash the first show of the split, and they just stay as one WWF even with the house shows dueling Raws and Samckdowns. Hell, if RAW proved anything, it's that the product won't suffer with less people cluttering the TV time.

I know that I have tickets to the 3/28 show at the CAA, which is a thursday night. I wonder if they intentionally left that "house show" off the list, or if it was just an oversite. I know that the website (wwf.com) said we need to tape smackdown as this is an untelevised event...which makes me hope that the split will start on raw and we will get half the main eventers. they did advertise HHH, NWO and angle (maybe more, i can't remember)...

And how much is Vince going to charge us for that PPV?

Thanks to Brokenjaw for the sigpic

Moss should have given the ball to his coaches to spike, or at least invited them onto the field to take part in the celebration, because they were the ones who made that score possible. But don't tell that to Randy, it would only take away from the glory he believes he deserves for being as great as he is. Click here for the whole article
