Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | I didn't see the PPV, and I've always respected Chris Jericho as a wrestler, but this is retarded. Time to break it down...quote:First of all, the people who criticized have every right to complain. They either bought their ticket, or bought the PPV, so if they feel they didn't get a good show, who the fuck is to say they can't voice their opinion? Also, I seem to remember Jericho being one of the wrestlers who the internet community has supported the MOST over the past few years, ever since his ECW days through his days being buried under the WCW glass ceiling to the present WWF/E. Why lash out now? quote:Ok... quote:Jericho's unbiased opinion, I'm sure. quote:Of course he'd say this, it's his fucking match. Funny how that works. quote:So an opinion differs from Y2J's and/or is critical of his work, and suddenly the holder of the opinion is a jackass? Because he thought a wrestling match was below standard? Ok. quote:"Everybody has the right to an opinion" - Chris Jericho quote:All opinions are created equal, but some are more equal than others. quote:Now this is just silly. A wrestler rating his own match later the same night, and rating it at ****1/2 (which would put it in some elite territory, because a ****1/2 match comes along VERY rarely)...does Y2J hang out with Jay and Silent Bob? quote:Look at the ratings, look at the ticket sales...he's a little late there, a lot of people already have stopped watching. quote:I wonder, if Jericho has a performance that is not "up to snuff," but it receives much praise on the internet, will we see the same sort of angry tirade? Or will he only get angry when there's a difference of opinion, AND the contrary opinion is critical of him. That's probably it. I can't imagine a "You jackasses don't know shit, my match sucked and was *1/4" type columns. quote:site and your But again, this is the same internet that has largely supported Jericho while promoters and locker room leader types held him down. quote:I saw AOTC. It stunk. Not as bad as TPM, but it still stunk. So if the match last night was as good as AOTC, that means it stunk. It's stupid to expect people to just turn off their brains and enjoy something, because to really appreciate something is to actually USE your brain and think about what you're watching and why it works or doesn't work, and to look at it at a level beyond the superficial. AOTC had some nifty special effects, and at times was visually stunning, but that does not make it even close to a good movie. An RVD backflip or a Lionsault might look cool, but it takes much more to make a good wrestling match, and a whole TON more to make a ****1/2 match. quote:I just wish WWE would dry up and die, as I think the wrestling business as a whole would be better off in the long run. I wonder if the fact that Vince McMahon has recently been trashing the internet may have had something to do with this rant. Maybe he's trying to play 'net heel, maybe he's just towing the company line. Either way, it's weak. Your job is to give the paying fans a product that they're satisfied with, so if they're not satisfied, it's stupid to say that they're wrong for not enjoying it. Anyone who criticizes a movie, an album, a sports team, a product, or a wrestling match has every right to do so, because if everyone were perfectly content with what is given to them, with no complaints, then there would be no motivation for improvement and innovation. "All you mother fuckers are gonna pay! You are the ones who are the ball lickers! We're gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little whiny bitches! Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks whos makin' the movie we're gonna make them eat our shit, then shit out our shit, then eat their own shit thats made up of our shit that we made 'em eat and then all you motherfucks are next." -Jay, responding to internet critics Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back Metal / Wrestling / Baseball Ninja / pr0n

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | I saw the ppv last night(friend of mine taped it for me) and while I agree that the match was the best of the night (really hard with all the crap piled around it) by no means was it a match of the year....I don't have high expectations of the wwe as far as wrestling goes, if I want to be entertained by pure wrestling I will pop in one of my many Japanese of Mexican wrestling videos, but compare that match to previous Match of the Year winners, in my opinion it does'nt stack up...Did the match suck? Not by any means....Was it amazing, 4 and a half stars and a match of the year caliber match? HELL NO..... "Not only is life a bitch, it has puppies."

Psychopath Registered: May. 02 | quote: OMG, I can't believe he actually said that. Maybe all those bumps have affected his thinking. It was a good match, no question. But has he forgotten a small ladder match on RAW with RVD and Guerrero? And considering it is only July, maybe he shouldn't say anything until later in the year.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jul. 00 | quote: Admittedly I did not see the match, but I don't need to see it to know that this match was nowhere near his ECW matches against Sabu and Taz (just to name a couple), and not even on the same planet as ANY match during his WAR days. He was simply a better wrestler back then, not being held back by Sports Entertainment. quote: RIIIIIIIIIIGHT......
