Looked like Nash hurt his knee stepping over the top rope. Figures with him. He hurts his arm throwing a punch and probably blows out his knee kicking Booker T. Time for Big Daddy Cool to retire.

When he came into the ring he was fine. After he took down Booker T he went over to hit the guys on the apron. When he walked away from Booker T he stumbled and lost his footing. Thats where he either twisted his knee or hit the rope. Looked pretty bad, he went down hard. Screaming, and wincing. AFter the match you heard X pac saying, No stretcher, we'll carry him. I'm sure he'll be back out for another 6 months.

HAHAHYAHHAHAHAH. I wonder what he'll say next week... It's even funnier how he was going 'round bragging "Big Sexy is ready to kick some ass again. Hunter, if you don't join us, I'll do to you what I'm going to do to Booker tonight!" So he's going to raise his leg in a kicking motion about 10 CM and blow out his other knee eh?

And I swear I don't have a gun...

For those who weren't watching or really paying attention (and I admit being in the latter group), Dave Scherer sums up what happened on 1wrestling:

"During the end of the 10 man match on Raw tonight, it appeared that Kevin Nash, in his first match back in action in months after recovering from his biceps injury, suffered a knee injury. Using my TIVO, I was able to watch what happened in slow motion. Here is a report. Nash tripped over Booker's foot after Nash hit a big boot to the face on Book. After he hit the boot, Nash was running across the ring to hit Bubba Ray Dudley, who was on the apron. Because he tripped on Booker's foot, he landed awkwardly on his left knee. He immediately fell to the ground and screamed loudly. He laid on the apron as Earl Hebner appeared to give a signal to the back that Nash was legitimately hurt. The announcers acted as if he was hurt as well. They went to the finish of the match and after it ended, Nash was helped to the back was able to walk with the help of Big Show and a WWE employee. It did not appear to be part of the storyline in anyway because it didn't play any part in the match. We expect to have more on this story later tonight or tomorrow."

Update on Kevin Nash.
from 1wrestling.com
quote:

I just heard from a few sources backstage at Raw that Kevin Nash did indeed suffer a knee injury during the main event of the show. He was in a lot of pain backstage after the show and from what I was told, WWE officials were working on getting a surgery date for him as soon as possible. We will be working on getting more details on this story as it develops.

As much as I would like for him to not be wrestling I don't wish an injury on the guy. Especially on his first night back in the ring. That has got to suck and I feel bad for him.

In the end it doesn't even matter

That was rough to see. You shouldnt wish an injury on anyone, especially the way it happened tonight. The crowd still pops for him, and he does bust his ass, even if it isnt in the same way or quality that a Kurt Angle busts his ass. Hope that he gets better soon.

When I first saw it (granted I wasn't watching his footing or his knee or anything) and I thought it almost looked like he was faking an injury, and couldn't help but think that he's out for another 3 months or whatever. I hope that's not the case for his sake, even though it is kind of comical that he was hurt in his first match back, a 10 man tag match where he was in the ring for about 2 mins.

It was pretty funny to then see Xpac having to pretend stomp on him for rushing over to the nwo corner.

Whoring my way to a regular.

This is bad...turns out it is a QUAD injury, the same type that HHH had.

KEVIN NASH INJURED, NEEDS SURGERY

by Dave Scherer Updated: 7/9/2002 12:00:23 AM

I just heard from a few sources backstage at Raw that Kevin Nash did indeed suffer an injury during the main event of the show. It appeared to be to his knee, but was actually to his quad, which is the same injury HHH suffered.

He was in a lot of pain backstage after the show and from what I was told, WWE officials were working on getting a surgery date for him as soon as possible. We will be working on getting more details on this story as it develops.

This pretty much confirms it. From Prowrestling.com

quote:

The following is from Kevin Nash's official website:

Kevin Nash Injured
July 9, 2002
Kevin Nash has injured his quad muscle on Raw this evening and is scheduling surgery at this time. More will be posted later.

This is relatively the same injury suffered by Triple H over a year ago which caused him to miss around 8 months of action.

Reguardless of personal feelings, I feel bad for anyone going through this type of injury.

Kevin Nash update

After being examined by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., today, it was determined that Kevin Nash has torn his left quadriceps muscle. Nash will be undergoing surgery today; it is unknown for how long he will be out of action. WWE.com hopes to receive a further update tonight after the surgery.

Update time: Nash is expected to be out of the ring "at least six months," according to WWE.com.

Nash had surgery earlier today in Birmingham, Alabama under Dr. James Andrews. Nash's left quadriceps muscle was completely torn off the bone. He is still in Birmingham, but is expected to return home to Arizona in a few days.

As an added downer, today is Nash's 43rd birthday.

They have to kill the NWO angle now. Nash will not be able to travel with this injury the way he did with his bicep. With him gone this angle sucks even more now.

HBK as the mouthpiece of an NWO cosisting of
X-Pac and the Big Show? That is just fucking horrible.
