God I hate this asshole. I've hated everything that he's ever done. I even made the mistake of spending eighty minutes skimming through his book in an effort to drum up an ounce of compassion for him, but no dice. There's eighty minutes of my life gone down the drain.

I challenge anyone to find one original thing that he did, disregarding that whole "If ya smell"
shit (no pun intended). The eyebrow is a throughback to HBK or Razor Ramon expressing contempt. The word "jabroni" is just an old locker-room expression. It also bugged me that people were making fun of Kurt Angle's alleged
homosexuality last September while The Rock has been talking about shoving things up asses with such intensity that you expect him to splooge for the past three years.

And his moves! The Rock Bottom is something everybody has seen done at least six hundred times before Duane Johnson came along. The People's Elbow is the single most ridiculous manuever ever done, even stupider and as time-consuming as The Worm. He is so uncreative that the writers have had to give him permission to use his opponent's moves on them for a cheap pop.

Thankfully the staleness of his act is finally being realized, because there wasn't as much cheering for him on Raw as there was previously.
God willing this isn't because Raw was in Texas,
but because the fans are tiring of his schtick.
The WWF's best bet with the Rock is to give him time off to work on his "film career", and have him return at Summerslam or the Survivor Series.
Maybe when he sees that WWF doesn't need him, and indeed, is better off without him, he'll either change his insufferable character or just plain leave.

And I'd say good fuckin riddance.

Dude, you are right on. But, you gotta realize that 90 percent of the people that filled the astrodome up don't think like that. Where do you think the "face pops" come from. Fans like us are gonna have to see guys like taker in a main event while we know benoit is a million times better, for example.

I am not a mark but, Rock does a fine job at what he does. What about Stone Cold Steve Austin??? No one before him did a stunner (neck breaker) or no one has ever said I'm gonna whoop your ass??? I mean whatever, they are both awesome for the entertainment.

You know, originality isn't exactly the most important thing in the wrestling business. Neither is in-ring ability. What's most important is the wrestler's ability to get the crowd into the match and to make the audience believe the storylines. Two of the absolute best at this are the Rock, and SCSA. Whether you like their characters or not, and whether you respect their abilities or not isn't the issue. They're both the absolute best at what they do.

Not to mention the Rock lifted, Layin The Smackdown, directly from DrDre's Nothin But A G Thing.

I still think Kane and Taker and Benoit and Angle are the future, in their various ways. Who knows at this point. It'll take Taker and Kane to rip up the Corporation, or whatever they will eventually call themselves. Who'da thunk the story would have SCSA forgiving HHH so soon?

Okay, so here's a rundown of the Rock:
1. He doesn't want to depend on his legacy status, but entered the WWF as Rocky Maivia.

2. His list of moves includes a really drawn-out descending elbow, a clothesline, and a bitch-slap. He's also been known to do SCSA's Stunner, Benoit's Crossface, and Bret Hart's Sharpshooter.

3. He's ruining Stone Cold's perfectly good heel turn by getting a face push.

People, People!!!! We all know that the Rock's act is tired and needs to be put to bed. That's why Vince is doing just that! The Rock will be gone for two months "on suspension" starting tonight. However, when the Rock returns you will all be writing what a great storyline it is and how great it is to have the Rock back and how you need someone to hate again. You'll all be tired of the lame Mic skills that SCSA displays and the stale rivalry between HHH and SCSA, just you wait. You can't stop, no you can't stop the ROCK!! Unless he gets boring and makes movies.

Shut it down.

No Teddy, what we'll be writing about when the Rock comes back is how great a storyline it WAS to have him suspended in the first place.

Oh, and I actually found some good things that have to do with the Rock:
1. The Crock. HHH is funny like that.
2. That look on his face when he gets hit in the stomach unexpectedly.
3. He yells at Kevin Kelly for no good reason. Yeah, I know that's old too, but if YOU ever met Kevin Kelly, what would else could you do?
4. His...uh... 6 WWF titles...uh...gives the other superstars something to aim for? OK, I'm spent.

Tazz, Thats just stupid. How can you say that he doesn't have any mike skills, sure he may be tired and getting old, but no-one besides SCSA can get the crowd up and cheering like rocky. He talks shit with the best of them. For a while though, he did have an obsession with sticking things in peoples candy asses, which was real funy the first few times. The stuff with Kevin Kelley was real funny the first couple of times too.

Now given that the peoples elbow is a bullshit move, but thats ok, I mean Hogan was unbeatable fror like 20 years with a boot to the face and a legdrop. Give the man credit for becoming what he is, and with some time off, maybe he can come up with some new stuff and when he comes out after being out for a while, you know that the crowds will pop for him louder than they do now.

Time will tell....But to take this example to the extreme and use Hogan, if the Bulkster came back right now and did a run-in as a heel, you'd all mark out for it. Absence makes the heart (and the Rock) grow fonder, indeed.

Take it down.
