- First question was who invented the Van Terminator, how long did it take to perfect, and how did he feel about Shane McMahon using it?

RVD says he invented the move as an extension of the Van Daminator. He adapted it for the Extreme Wrestling audience, but had no idea how successful it would become. He expanded it by using the top rope, then the top rope on the opposite corner, until it developed into the finished move. It took 3 or 4 tries to perfect it. He says he tries out most moves for the first time in front of live crowds. His exclusive piece on info for the UK fans is that he asked Amish Roadkill if he could try out the Van Terminator on him a few hours before he debuted it. As for Wrestlemania, says a lot of people expect him to blast Shane for using the move. He can't say he was happy about it, but asks how many wrestlers have a move that no one else uses these days? It was nice to have it to himself for a while, but that's no longer the case. He says big deal, he'll come up with something else.

- Caller then asks if he's going to the WWF?

RVD does not know. He says he was negotiating with Fusient before their WCW deal fell through. At that time he was sworn to secrecy. He has not been officially contacted by the WWF, only through third parties. Says many fans feel its only common sense that he should be in the big leagues. Says he knows he'll be OK either way, he's definitely ready to work.

- RVD is asked at what age did he realize he wanted to get into wrestling and how did he go about it?

Says he was 14 years old, and was a big fan of wrestling. He saw his first live show in Battle Creek around 1984. He was advised by a friend of his family (who knew people in the WWF) to put on weight in preparation for an in-ring career. He then devoted the rest of life to pro wrestling. Throughout, he was supported by his parents..

- What does he feel is his best match so far?

RVD says his best matches were versus Jerry Lynn. He was thinking of a couple of pay-per-view matches, but would did not say specifically which ones.

- Alex Shane asked if RVD is coming to UK (RVD already wrestling here once before, in 1998).

RVD says his manager is speaking to a promoter in the UK concerning a potential date in October. Shane puts over the FWA, and RVD says he would be happy to speak to them. RVD then puts over Nova (who is coming to the UK to wrestle for the FWA in two weeks time).

- How did RVD enjoy his last visit to All Japan?

Says it was good, he wrestled ten matches in two weeks, and that the travel was pretty rough (8 hour bus rides). That's why he's never wrestled full time over there. He noticed a lot of changes in All Japan since 1997 when he was last there. Most of the wrestlers were pretty new to him. It was a breath of fresh air to wrestle the Japanese style again.

- Caller asks which former ECW star will be most successful in the WWF?

RVD says it depends what's in Vince's mind. It's way early in the game just now. Rhyno's got a hell of a future, he's looking good [in the WWF so far].

- What effect did the WWF purchase of WCW have on him as a wrestler?

Says its was a roller coaster. He was deep in negotiations with Fusient, and feeling pretty good about that. Feels that it was pretty positive [the WWF purchase] compared with the possibility of WCW folding completely. It makes things more interesting. Hopefully the two promotions will have different flavours. RVD says his interest [in the business] has been sparked as it has not been for a while. Feels someone will step up soon to provide competition to WWFE.

- Caller asks if RVD feels the standard of US wrestling has improved or declined in the past ten years?

Improved definitely. RVD feels there was not that much wrestling talent from the mid 80s when he started watching, until Mexican and Japanese promotions forced US standards to rise. It wasn't about action. RVD was always more interested in guys like Brady Boone, Lanny Poffo, Owen Hart etc. He feels fans are more demanding now, that they are a lot more educated. He doesn't think that, by comparison, even the commentators in those days were all that clued up.

- RVD is asked, who is the best tag team in WWF?

He can't name that many tag teams in the WWF right now. He doesn't think he' s much of an expert on the current WWF, as he has only recently (last couple of weeks) started tuning in. RVD jokingly says The Hardys have some good moves since they stole them from Sabu and himself.

- What does he think of Paul Heyman's commentary?

RVD thinks he's a good commentator, and is amused by Paul's way of plugging sponsor's messages.

Finally, RVD is asked who he would have liked to have wrestled but so far has not. RVD says Chris Benoit and Booker T, then Alex Shane suggests Mike Awesome. RVD thinks he'd bring out the best in him again.

I am hoping to see "The whole F-In show" walk down that WWF ramp.
