O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | HEAT REPORT by John Keane Updated: 5/7/2001 8:50:33 AM HEAT report for 5/6/01. Live from WWF New York. Your Hosts: Michael Cole and Tazz. Guest Hosts: HHH and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley And we have a new format! Video recap of HHH and Steph arriving at WWF New York. Going to stage, we have Tazz and Cole in comfy recliners. Everyone's favorite couple take seats on adjacent couch. Cole wants to get straight to business-Tazz interrupts, demanding Cole welcome guests to show. HHH dresses down Cole. (Pretty impressive HHH chant from crowd.). Cole starts out with how Hunter and Steph got together-recap of Test being left at alter, Hunter and Vince's feud, and Steph's double-cross, leading to establishment of McMahon-Helmsley regime. Cole asks if Steph ever loved Test-she claims there was an attraction. Hunter clarifies-the attraction was for a new household utensil-Steph wanted to drag Test by hair to scrape the floor clean with his buck teeth (!) However, she soon got herself a real man. Coming up-more on McMahon-Helmsley era. Video of WWF becoming Hunter and Steph's playhouse. One man stands up-Mankind. Mankind finds himself jobless. HHH puts over how much he enjoyed his power during his reign. More recap-entire WWF roster demands re-instatement of Foley. Highlights of HHH/Cactus Jack Hell in a Cell retirement match that ended Mick's in-ring career. HHH praises Foleys guts and accomplishments-but now he's done. Cole brings up Foleys return and HHH and Stephs marital problems as we go to break Back, we have a recap of Mick Foleys reign as Commish, focusing on his adventures with Steph and Hunter. HHH brushes it off as an aberration-after all, Mick is gone and he's still there. Next, a recap of the Kurt Angle/Steph/HHH angle, also featuring the Trish Stratus/HHH encounters, which ROYALLY pisses off Steph. She says she never believed there was anything going on between Trish and Hunter (yep...), and HHH goes back to his belief that Kurt plays for "the other team"...sort of like Cole. Lugz boot of week: HHH and Stone Cold Steve Austin 'shatter' Kane's arm. Back in, Steph gets more agitated when Cole brings up the 'missing night' featuring Steph and Kurt. Says she was with her brother Shane the whole time. We get down to recent events-the Stone Cold/HHH alliance. HHH states the reason is simple pragmatism-either continue destroying each other, or hook up and destroy everyone else. Cole asks Hunter if he trusts Austin-answers evasively, says as long as they're successful, trust is a non-issue. We get brief video highlight of yesterdays Insurrexion pay-per-view in the U.K. before break. Blast of night-HHH mangles Test on RAW. Next, Trish and Steph take questions from fans: 1. To Steph: Q. What turns you on? A. Big, strong Intercontinental Champion. 2. To HHH: Q. What about Shane purchasing WCW? A. Shane wants to be Vince, which he never will. 3. To HHH: Q. Will he do movies and TV like Chyna and the Rock? A. If he feels like it! Says reason Rock is doing movies is because he's been suspended from WWF. 4. To HHH: Q. How long will Stone Cold and Austin stay partners? A. Long as they want. 5. To HHH: Q. Will he and Chyna ever re-unite? A. HHH stammers, puts over Chyna's Women's Championship-Steph grabs mic-"NO!!!" 6. To both: Q. How did they feel about Vince and Trish Stratus recent close relationship? A. Steph: Mildly disgusted. HHH: No Comment. 7. To HHH: Large black man (with heavy urban accent): Q. Has being a WWF Superstar gone to his head? A. "Ain't NO WAY bein' WWF Superstar gone to my head! I's the same husband I was befo!". Cole brings up the one man standing in the way of Austin/HHH "2-Man Powertrip"... Back from break, recap of Austin/HHH vs. Undertaker on Smackdown. Cole asks HHH about Kane-says he'll cross that bridge when necessary, IF Kane comes back As for Undertaker: the "Dead Man" may come several steps closer to being just that tomorrow night on RAW. Tazz and Cole sign off. And yes, this show had no matches. | ||||
