Word is that Bret Hart has agreed to return to wrestling as a key figure in the upcoming "invasion" of the WWF by WCW.

The deal was apparently put together in the last few days and our source tells us it was brokered by Carl Demarco, a long time associate of Hart and head of the WWF's operations in Canada.

Hart's return to wrestling (If it happens, and our source is a good one) is particularly shocking because he is returning to a McMahon owned wrestling promotion. Bret Hart has been critical in the past of family members who had returned to work for the WWF, and has had bitter feelings about Vince McMahon since the infamous "Survivor Series Screwjob". Those feelings were compounded by the tragic death of Bret's younger brother Owen Hart.

My bad on the double whammy. Someone beat me to it while I was posting this and then the damn thing went through twice.

While it may make him a hipocrite, it would make it interesting to watch.

It is confirmed that Bret will NOT come back anytime soon, and that the rumors are false.

Prowrestling.com has confirmed that Bret has been in talks with WWFE. Let's hope he jumps right to the top of the card again.

Anyone else tired of hearing him cry??? Though I can say this, IF Brett Hart were to join the WWF, the WWF would really kill by using him in the "Goldberg/Russo angle" by having Brett earn his way to the top over the course of 6-10 months. There is so much real heat between the two that it would translate amazingly to TV.

In my opinion he wouldn't lose all credibility. He would definently lose some but so be it.

After rumors circulated the Internet yesterday about a possible Bret Hart reunion with the WWFE, a WWFE official confirmed that there is no truth to Bret Hart signing up with the WWFE to lead WCW's invasion.

"He will not be joining" said Jayson Bernstein, the Director of Corporate Communications for the WWFE.

Mr. Bernstein did not have an official comment on Eddie Guerrero's absence from Raw last night, though he suggested that the WWF might release one soon.
