| Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Most of those backyard wrestling federations are a bunch of crap, its not even wrestling. For the most part all those morons do is beat the living shit out of each other, so why bother calling it wrestling. This is why so many people want to regulate wrestling in certain areas because dumbasses like to beat themselves within an inch of their lives and call it wrestling. I know there are also alot of backyard wrestlers that actually wrestle (still stupid) instead of just maim people, but the majority is just one big bloodfest. Personally I dont have a problem with that, I just dont understand why they cant call it something else, because its NOT wrestling. They can die, but they don't care because they are jackasses. And, they razor themselves everytime. At least the WWF wrestlers sometimes really bleed! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | My Opinion on BY Wrestling (not that it matters) The main objective in wrestling is to look as hurt as possible, while at the same time being as safe as possible. This is considered by many, including myself, an artform. When performed well, can make you suspend the reality of this cruel twisted "real" world we live in, and if only for a little while, live in a fantasy world where larger than life warriors do battle to settle their differences. Then, when all is said and done we go back to our miserable lives, until our next installment. On the other hand, backyard wrestling has no art, there is no suspension of reality. These are just people beating the shit out of themselves and each other, for NO reason. There is no art, there is no emotional roller coaster, it is just flat out self mutalation. I have no need for this horseshit. (that concludes my serious post of the month)
