| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00  | Courtesy of Wrestlezone.com writer Matt Boone - Joanie Laurer (Chyna) and the World Wrestling Federation appear imminent to part company after a contract dispute. - The two sides were said to be far apart on money when it came to renewing their deal, which expires on November 30th. Negotiations had not been going well for months between the two sides, and that also explains, because of attempts to strengthen her position while the negotiations went on, why certain things that at the time didn't seem to make sense took place involving her character and the lay-out of some of her highest profile matches. At this point, the WWF does not expect Chyna to appear on television again and no decision has been made regarding the women's championship, which she still holds. This is AWESOME. That media whore probably has her huge head thinking that she is worth a lot more to the WWF than she actually is. I can imagine she is asking for millions and a huge push. I'm sure so many guys in the Fed are thrilled not having to job to her (remember that Jericho IC title fiasco?, I felt so bad for him) and say shes so beautiful. Im sure her face is gonna start falling apart in a few years. F Chyna!!! | ||||

All credit goes to The Comedian. ------------- Now that she's gone from the WWF, I thought it fitting to take a look back at the legacy of Joanie Laurer. - Spit on or stepped on everyone, from her family to her trainers, on her way to the top. - Got into the WWF based on her freakish appearance, her knowing HHH, and the inavailability of Curtis Hughes to be HHH's new bodyguard, yet she fronted like it was "hard work and dedication" that got her there. - Refused to participte in the womens' division, feeling it was beneath her. This despite the fact that virtually every woman who competed in the division duting her tenure, from the underrated Ivory, to the vastly overrated Lita, and even the much-maligned Sable, are all better wrestlers than her. - Competed in abominations posing as wrestling matches with male competitors, in which her offense consisted of: weak forearms sloppy DDT a handsping elbow that she usually fucked up by coming up short and having to run backwards to complete it Even the best talent coldn't sell for her without exposing the business completely. - To hype her Playboy appearance, she cut one of the most ludicrous, hypocritical promos in the history of wrestling. In it, she first took any and all credit for any success she's ever had in her life, once again snubbing all those who helped her along the way. Even worse, she had the audacity to infer that she was better than many Hollywood actresses and women in the WWF locker room because they hadn't had to "work for their look." This from a woman who contains more plastic than a Mattel warehouse. Basically, the whole promo came off like a former high school loser who gains some fame and bitterly rips on "the beautiful people" who made fun of her. - Was made the first ever woman to win a man's belt, the second most important belt in the WWF no less, the Intercontinental Title. Her first feud in defending the title was against Chris Jericho, who was forcedto put her over. Thus, she nearly destroyed Jericho's credibility and the IC belt's proud tradition in one fell swoop. - Was eventually forced, whining and bitching, to participate in the womens' division, but only did so with the understanding that she would squash any and all competitors. All her challengers (all of whom were better wrestlers than her, Molly and Ivory in particular being out of her league) were made to look pathetic and ineffectual at her hands, despite the fact that the size differential between her and them wasn't nearly as great as, say, that between Shawn Michaels and Diesel. If Michaels can beat Diesel, why can't Lita beat Chyna? Because Chyna is a selfish, self-important bitch, of course. Thus, to sum up, Chyna lucked into the business, engaged in revisionist history to make herself look like a self-sufficient wonder woman, was an ingrate to anyone who helped her along the way, and was an embarrassment every time she stepped in the ring. So long Chyna, don't let the door hit you in the plastic seat cushion on the way out, bitch. :) THE COMEDIAN :) ------------------ Personally, I hope she dies. She was the worst thing to happen to professional wrestling since Terry, the Orange Goblin. | ||||

Sure banging Triple H didn't hurt but still you can't take her accomplishments away from her. Her matches with Jericho & Jarrett were pretty damn good even if Jericho and Jarrett had to carry most of the match.She says her parents did nothing but hurt her on her way to the top and who are we to say she is lying. It would be stupid to have a former IC champion and number one contender job to anyone of the WWF women. | ||||

Basically, if my daughter were to accept Chyna as a role model, I'd probably go Tyson on her ass. To me, she is the anti-role model for any girl, and it has nothing to do with her looks. The woman has NO respect for the business that made her famous, she has NO respect for her coworkers, her family, or the people that brought her in. Ever read her book? You contend that Chyna proves that you don't have to be a "skinny blonde whore" to become famous. By your logic, does she prove that you do need steroids, big fake cans, and major facial reconstruction? It would make sense, indeed. Why not take on, say, Molly Holly as a role model? She is blonde, but she is hardly a skinny whore. Plus, she has achieved success as a power lifter and an amateur wrestler, and she seems to have nothing but respect for the business and the people she works with. And she's mad cute, too.    Notice a slight difference in the third photo? Now that Chyna is on the way out of the WWF, I'd like to see her go to one of the Joshi feds in Japan. Someone like Aja Kong or Bull Nakano would expose her as a fraud in the ring, beating her within an inch of her life, and loving every minute of it. Aah, a man can dream, can't he. | ||||

And the worst part about it was the fact that she got all this national publicity for wrestling so well with men and kicking their asses. This got her over easily with a class of completely ignorant fans. If you want to elevate her to an equal level to her male competitors, then evaluate them on the same level. If a notoriously poor worker, Brian Christopher for example, was forced to work a program with Chris Benoit then there would be an outrage amongst wrestling fans as they watched the superior talent Benoit carry the matches and the feud. But when its Chyna being carried in a feud, then the focus returns immediately to the fact that shes just a woman and its a great feat for her just to be where she is. Bottom line. One minute she wants to be respected on the same level as the male wrestlers. But when her efforts fall short then its just that she worked so hard to get where she is and what a feat it is. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | I honestly forgot that Chyna was still on the active roster. I was hoping she just kind of went away, and now it looks as if she might. In her day, as a bodyguard for DX she wasn't bad, but then she opened her mouth and started to think that she was better than the actual talent. That is where she went too far. There are many more talented women in the wwf who can really wrestle and do it well, so I really don't feel that chyna will be missed. And matilda, I am sorry that you are losing your role model, perhaps someone like Ivory could take the place of chyna...??? just a thought  AIM: SkiT4you | ||||
