- WWF officials are said to be displeased with their own decision to put their top star (Steve Austin) in the hands of someone who has never competed with the company nor Steve Austin. Apparently when the pay-per view concluded, Stone Cold could barely move. He reportedly iced his back up before going to get X-Rays along with Chris Benoit after the show ended. His hand was feeling extremely numb after the pay-per view and early suggestions indicate that the hand is most likely broken. He is not expected to miss any ring-time as a result of his hand, but if his back is as bad as predicted, he could need a few weeks to rest up. The WWF now without The Rock, Triple H, and Chris Benoit can not afford to lose Steve Austin as well.

- As earlier reported, Austin's injury occurred when Booker T carelessly over-tossed "The Rattlesnake" which resulted in Austin landing wrong through the table, and violently smashing into one of the announcers chairs as the table collapsed.

- As far as Booker T goes, it's likely he will be receiving major political heat backstage with WWF superstars due to the fact that it's widely known Austin needs to be treated somewhat delicatly when taking bumps that involve his neck. Obviously this is due to the major neck surgery Austin underwent a few years ago. The WWF talent and officials aren't tolerant when it comes to someone not protecting their opponent, and the fact that if Austin misses significant ring-time as a result of what transpired, that would hurt the paychecks of WWF talent.

- The original injury Kurt Angle suffered was during his match with Christian in the King of the Ring opener. While Christian was attempting a roundhouse kick, he apparently knocked the head and more specifically the eye-area of "The Olympic Hero." This resulted in Angle being potentially knocked out for a brief stint afterwards. As known, Angle has suffered a concussion not too long ago, which makes him less tolerant to shots to the cranium. Other reports state Angle may have broken his tailbone during his street-fight with Shane McMahon. This is not confirmed as of yet, but if it turns out that - that is the case, Angle is in for a break from ring-time himself.

After looking at the tape it seems that Booker T was really caught up in the moment. That still dosent excuse mishandling your opponent. This could fuck Booker.

This was the biggest moment in his professional career. I am sure he feels horrible about it.

They should not do too much to him because he is a great talent and he is also something that the WWF/WCW needs, a viable and credible black contender.

Austin is a tough son of a bitch and I sure he will back with minimal time off. He will be on camera a lot though, probably just not wrestling.

Doesn't seem to be too much of an issue right now.. Booker can easily be replaced temporarily, even though he's the WCW champion... how hard would it be for him to "introduce" the former WCW champion, Scott Steiner?? (I wish... Steiner vs. Angle... woohoo! :) )

Well I guess we see how much hot water Booker got himself into...him kicking Vince's ass all over the ring shows that Austin knew it was an accident. Glad to see that they are going full steam ahead with this angle!!!

That didn't have nearly the impact it would have had if Austin would have lost. If somehow Austin loses the belt because of that, it makes the feud that much hotter. Granted it throws a dent in the Champ v Champ scenerio, but there has to have been another way to do it.

I'm glad to see Booker back he does proberly the best missle dropkick I'v seen in years. Well the whole Invasion thing is honestly a wet dream for wrestling fans.
(yes WCW vs WWF as well "wrestling" the women roster)

Honestly I knew King of the Ring was a waste. I knew Austin was to retain cos all this talk of "Austin last days as champion." Same thing with Kurt angle when he had to go through the Hell in a Cell.

It would be interesting if it Austin did lose the belt so it would be a former champion match up but looks like booker still holds the WCW strap and the WWF is all the way with this.

Tazza, while I agree that Booker has a great drop kick...I think Lance Storm has the best in the business.
Too have Austin lose his title to either of the Chrises would have been a mistake now that we know Booker is going to be involved and we may just get our 5 on 5 or even five singles matches to determine one of the prime time tv slots...

Who do you guys think they should use in this match/or matches?
I would like to see austin, angle, foley, taker for the wwf, and
booker, storm, o'haire, ddp for wcw
