Ok then, here's another one:

What owner are we supposed to root for. Shane heeled out when he attacked Undertaker and aligned with DDP. Heyman and the rest of the WCW wrestlers turned heel when they punked out Jericho and Kane. Vince is obviously a heel. Oh yeah, and Steph is a slutty heel. So we have 3 heel owners and Paul Heyman also a heel.

Now let's look at the wrestlers. Although it's not exact we will say half of it is WCW/ECW so all heels. And then half of the WWF is heels. So right there we have 75% of the wrestlers are heels. What the fuck is that all about? Who are they going to condition the fans to root for?

It's so fucked up that I absolutely can't wait to read the results from tomorrow night and then watch it on Thursday. Just wild.

-------------------
But there's also this: there are over 5,000 men in this city, who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done.

I know it, too, and I'm damn glad to be one of them."

It seems, to me anyway, that the WWf is supposed to be the faces. It seems like they are trying to set it up so the WWF is up against incredible odds, like they are the underdogs. Think about the irony in THAT.

I don't think it would be hard to make the WWF the faces. Everybody wants to love Angle and Austin, despite the fact they keep on telling us they are heels. Hell, Angle was clearly the face and Booker clearly the heel in the WCW championship match. I think ECW was supposed to come off as heels, since they beat up two of the current top faces in the WWF, Jericho and Kane. While the internet didn't see it that way, the crowd seemed to. All that is left is to have the Rock return to cement the WWF as the faces. But I see this all boiling down to Vince's biggest ego trip. He leads his now undermanned WWF and crushes all of his competition again. Hell, I'll root for the WWF. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a hardcore WWF mark first, anything else second.

Since this is the most irreverant thread ever.

Was there any point to having Kid Rock waste a perfectly good segment on RAW in Vancouver? At least he got the F bomb in on USA. But Matt Pinfield countered the coolness factor 15 mins later.
Nice, I'll be sure to stay tuned to see the 7th replay of No Doubt play two tracks of "Return of Saturn"

Extreme Championship Wrestling Championship Wrestling??

Maybe they'll call it: W-EEEE-CW.

I gotta say, I never watched too much ECW, but from reading all you guys have been saying about some of these guys, and marking for this angle, I was pretty psyched to see that crowd run from the back. It was pretty obvious what was up, but it was still a nice twist when they turned on Kane/Y2J. I guess Tazz isn't getting his title shot? Haha! I wonder, is the fence jumping over? The other ECW guys, HHH w/ Steph... though, HHH did say on O&A that he thought the marriage "angle" had run its course and would be ended soon.
Noticed, JR stayed on as announcer the whole time. Was it for convenience or did they not like the WCW team? I think they should have left JR there all along, anyway; we'd hear his familiar voice announcing guys we don't know as well.
The big question I have for the PPV, does Vince help get his "new" fed get over by winning over WWF, or does he permanently establish WWF as superior? WCW has to win something big, or else it just stays minor league to most WWF fans, I think.
It seems the mood's about to change...

I AM The Party.

What about the obvious. EWCW. Extreme World Championship Wrestling. I marked out like crazy last night. It has been a long time that Raw has made me stand up like that. That was an awesome moment.

About Lynn , Tajiri and Spike. Spike can not go to EWCW because he cost his brothers the titles and he has teh affair with Molly Holly going. I see Tajiri switching over, but not until at least Invasion. He has a good thing going with the Regal angle. Jerry Lynn should have been there right away and I totally forgot about Stevie Richards. He should have come down with the fag short blue jean shorts and the belly shirt.

On a side note, how funny was Angle's presents to Austin and Vince McMahon with the badges. And he gets himself a gold one to match his gold medals. Priceless. What movie was that line that Austin said from, We don't need no stinkin badges.

Overall, one of the best Raws in a very long time. They came up huge last night after that cluster f caused by Buff last week.

Okay, after 4 pages of this, I can finally speak.

WBK great picture.

That was awesome last night. My fiance and I were watching, and as soon as the Dreamer and RVD came out with ECW shirts on, I knew something was up, but when the troops came out, she saw they were all ECW, she mentioned it right before they turned around and got Kane and Jericho. That was great, and the music hit and Heyman started talking his shit. I so didnt expect this one, they got us good. There is a lot of explaining to do now.

And another observation. Didnt Taz look meaner in that ecw shirt than he did in the orange thing? What a night for wrestling fans...

OK, I watched it live last night...then watched the tape at 1130 last night...and thought about it all night instead of sleeping, and thought about it so far this morning...here is what i came up with. Thank god they figured out what to do with all the talent they now hoave. I am still marking out from that night of television! I missed seeing RVD, TD, TAZ...now we need to add Nova, Danny Doring and Roadkill to complete the roster of WCW...(sorry no E in it)...
As for all this who is heel, who is face...that crap ended at the King of the Ring when Austin 3:16 was born...we all mark out and pop for who we love, regardless of their "face/heel" status...i mean come on, we all still get excited when we hear the breaking glass or I am the Game...face/heel who cares as long as we get quality work!
It is going to be great to watch as vince's flunkies get on one anothers nerves in the brawl for all or whatever its called at the PPV, because you know that austin and taker won't get along, and angle and y2j will never get along...sure the wcw/ecw guys will have a slight problem getting along, but with heyman/mcmahon's at the helm they will show why they are a better/younger promotion.
As for ECW workers not being able to work ECW style matches...remember, ECW was about busting your ass and working, giving 150% each time out, not just about tables and chairs. The guys in ECW worked harder and put on better quality matches than their WWF/WCW competition...its not just the hardcore that made ECW great, it was how much they cared for the product they put out there, how much they wanted to please the fans who paid their salaries. So, I am not worried about ECW guys becoming the WWF style, I would really expect the work ethic of Dreamer or Taz to rub off on the other guys instead...

I know I like to exaggerate sometimes, but THAT WAS THE BEST RAW SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN!!! They don't even have to show anything new on Smackdown, I would be happy if they just replayed Monday's show. Putting Steph in charge immediately opened up 3 new storylines with ECW besides what they already had going for them with just being there (Steph vs Heyman, Steph vs. Shane/Vince, and what happens when HHH comes back.) Incredibly awesome show. Plus Steph is so freakin hot. Maybe now Taz will get his due

One day I will have a sig pic.

Having Steph makes sense. Shane buys WCW right under Vince's nose. ECW goes out of business and all of their workers go to WWF and eventually Heyman comes as well. They become big WWF fan favorites (Dudley Boys and Tazz especially) and than reunite within the WWF as ECW when 2 ECW mainstays come on board in RVD and Tommy Dreamer. Who picked up the paycheck for ECW getting back together, Stephanie McMahon. Now, son and daughter go after thier father. Would be great if they bring in some more ECW guys, like Shane Douglas, Sandman, Sabu, and Francine especially.

Shane Douglas - Still has tons of heat with Paul E and Vince. Still, it's wrestling, so I wouldn't be surprised if they work it out. It's not like he's Bret Hart, after all...

Sandman - He's broken down, but it would surprise me if he didn't come in at some point. I'd say, save his debut/return for when they're in Philly or NY.

Sabu - REALLY broken down. If you've seen any Sabu matches recently, you wouldn't want to see him back. The old, crazy Sabu is gone.

Francine - Tommy Dreamer's girl. They'll bring her in.

Remember, this was just one night, one angle. I'm sure more moves will be made, with some old ECW guys coming in, more WWF guys switching sides, etc. Honestly, I don't think Vince, Paul E, or anyone else knows exactly what's going down. They're probably taking this one show at a time...

If this angle is handled the right way, we could finally see an angle that beats the NWO angle. WWF needs to make sure not to "drop the ball" on this whole thing.

I have a friend who is a casual wrestling fan at best...she got into it when her husband was watching the shows...I gave her my tape of the show from monday and she gave it rave reviews, said it was one of the most exciting wrestling nights she had seen, etc...just thought you guys might care that even the non-hardcore fan loves what is going on, and is looking forward to the next night of wrestling, its not just us!!!
