| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01  | Jim Ross recently spoke out about Jerry "The King" Lawler and Stacy "Kat" Carter's departures from the WWF. "It was something that just kept accumulating," said Ross. "Maybe we can do business with her down the road. I'm not going to rule that out. But, right now, it was something Vince felt needed to be nipped in the bud. Giving the news to (Lawler) is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. He's my friend. Unfortunately, it's in my job description to do it." He went on to say that "Jerry is my friend and will continue to be," Ross said. "This is not a vendetta against him. I think there's a possibility for reconciliation and that we could do business after a period of time." There are no set plans yet as to who will announce on RAW is WAR this coming Monday. According to Ross, no one really knows. WWF personnel have stated that during the course of recent booking meetings, Lawler and Carter made suggestions that "made them look good but weren't in the best interest of everyone in the room". The situation was relayed to Vince McMahon and apparently on Tuesday, he had heard enough and ordered Carter's dismissal. Kat was given her full release and is free to work anywhere effective immediately. Jerry Lawler had separate WWF and XFL contracts and muset go through a number of legal procedures before he is free to work elsewhere.
