This is one of my favorite songs right now, I wish I had written this as a poem.

Angel

Angel came down from heaven yesterday
She stayed with me just long enough to rescue he
And she told me a story yesterday,
about the sweet love between the moon and the deep blue sea
And then she spread her wings high over me
She said she's gonna come back tomorrow

And I said "fly on my sweet angel,
fly on through the sky,
fly on my sweet angel,
tomorrow I'm gonna be by your side"

Sure enough this morning came unto me
Silver wings silhouetted against the child's sunrise
And my angel she said unto
"today is the day for you to rise,
take my hand, you're gonna be my man,
you're gonna rise"
And she took high over yonder

And I said "fly on my sweet angel,
fly on through the sky,
fly on my sweet angel,
forever I will be by your side"

I believe in the Faith... that can save me.
I believe in the hope and I pray...
That someday it may raise me... above these badlands

Well, since this thread is going to be deleted anyway... I'm a flaming homosexual and I love having big hard hot man meat rammed into my mouth and ass. Umm, this IS going to be deleted, right???

More Jimi, more gooder...

Little Wing

Well, she's walking through the clouds,
With a circus mind that's running wild,
Butterflies and Zebras,
And Moonbeams and fairy tales.
That's all she ever thinks about.
Riding with the wind.

When I'm sad, she comes to me,
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free.
It's alright, she says it's alright,
Take anything you want from me,
Anything.
Fly on little wing.

"Ants in my pants, it was bigger than an elephant... I swear it was this big!" - Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

"Spoo" is "oops" spelled backwards. But it's more than just that. It was a powerful movement, a revolution if you will. It was truly ahead of its time. One man is responsible for this movement. This man had a vision. He created spoo with his bare hands and molded it into a force to be reckoned with. This man's name is IrishAlkey. Know him, appreciate his contributions to our society, for life as we know it would not be the same if it were not for him and his brilliant vision. Love the Alkey, embrace him with all your heart. Give the man his respect. Give him a hug. Lick his huge left ear. Rub his bald head. Long live the Alkey, and may God bless his soul.

This has always been my favorite:

Castles Made Of Sand:

Down the street you can hear her scream "you're a disgrace"
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbors start to gossip and drool
He cries "Oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?"
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually

A little indian brave before he was ten,
Played wargames in the woods with his indian friends
And he built up a dream that when he grew up
He would be a fearless warrior indian chief
Many moons past and more the dream grew strong until
Tomorrow he would sing his first warsong and fight his first battle
But something went wrong, surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually

There was a young girl, whos heart was a frown
'Cause she was crippled for life,
and she couldn't speak a sound
And she wished and prayed she could stop living,
So she decided to die
She drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
And to her legs she smiled "you won't hurt me no more"
But then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say
"look a golden winged ship is passing my way"

And it really didn't have to stop, it just kept on going...

And so castles made of sand slips into the sea, eventually

That's one of the few songs that has been covered well. I love the Derek & the Dominoes version, and the Stevie Ray Vaughn instrumental is absolutely amazing.

Angel is a great song, and Little Wing is my most favorite.

Here's another classic of his first album. His guitar skills were second to none but he never gets much credit for his lyrical skills, he was amazingly poetic.

JIMI HENDRIX
"The Wind Cries Mary"

After all the jacks are in their boxes,
and the clowns have all gone to bed,
you can hear happiness staggering on down the street,
footprints dress in red.

And the wind whispers Mary.

A broom is drearily sweeping
up the broken pieces of yesterday's life.
Somewhere a Queen is weeping,
somewhere a King has no wife.

And the wind it cries Mary.

The traffic lights they turn blue tomorrow
And shine their emptiness down on my bed,
The tiny island sags downstream
'Cos the life that they lived is dead.

And the wind screams Mary.

Will the wind ever remember
The names it has blown in the past,
And with this crutch, its old age and its wisdom
It whispers, "No, this will be the last."

And The Wind Cries Mary.

I know it's not Jimi's words, but if we're talking about Jimi songs we love, I've got to back to my favorite....I throw the Jimi impersonator outside Yankee Stadium $5 when he can get through the intro properly:

All Along the Watchtower

There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the joker to the theif
There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief
Business men they drink my wine
Plowmen dig my earth
None will level on the wine
Nobody of it is worth

No reason to get exited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke
But you and I we've been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us talk falsely now
The hour's getting late

All along the watchtower
The princess kept the view
While all the women came
And went bare feet servants too
Outside in the cold distance
A wild cat did growl
Two riders were aproaching
And the wind began to howl
