Recently I was very pissed off to find out that the latest news flash is that Chris Cornell has now officially pulled out of the project. This obviously means they will not be playing at Ozzfest. The new album is still coming out under Epic, I fucking hope it has major success and Cornell considers joining again.

The retarded thing is that Zach is doing fucking trance music. I mean I heard trance once and it was shit like the sound of rain drops and crap. You'd think he'd realize to just come the fuck back, but whatever.

By leaving , Cornell fucked a whole bunch of shit up. I personally know alot of people who planned on attending Ozzfest just to see him in Rage.

I really wanted to see Chris become a big name in current rock again , guess that won't be happening again any time soon. :(

No shit, that CD sucked ass, especially how he remade all of the songs on the CD, he is capable of thinking up something better than that crap. I don't even get why Zach wanted to leave Rage, he should come back...

i liked the first two albums, but their political rants eventually overshadowed their music, i always preferred Downset...

I agree. The rage music was awsome, but it is hard to listen to songs that support a cop killer. I hope they play ozzfest. Fuck man. By the way, is this news reliable?

*EDIT* Never mind. Just saw the offical news. You guys have to start including AP when you post.

“The window burns to light the way back home. A light that warms no matter where they've gone. They're off to find the hero of the day. But what if they should fall by someone's wicked way. Still the window burns. Time so slowly turns. And someone there is sighing. Keepers of the flames. Do ya feel your name? Can't you hear your babies crying? Mama they try and break me. Still they try and break me. 'Scuze me while I tend to how I feel. These things return to me that still seem real. Now deservingly this easy chair. But the rocking stopped by wheels of despair. Don't want your aid. But the first I've make. For years can't hold or feel. No, I'm not all me. So please excuse me. While I tend to how I feel. But now the dreams and waking screams. That ever last the night. So build the wall, behind the crawl. And hide until it's light. So can you hear your babies cryin' now? Still the window burns. Time so slowly turns. And someone there is sighing. Keepers of the flames. Do ya feel your name? Can't you hear your babies crying?” - Metallica

I'm fairly sure that there is already an article about it up on foundry if anyone wants to confirm it.

Rageparty, Zach left the band because he was getting upset that Tom and the rest of the band wouldn't let him do his whole rap/hip-hop thing. Granted he did it to an extent on the first two albums, but nothing like this renegades of funk stuff. Tom and everybody else wanted the band to be rock-oriented and that's why Zach left .

Yeah, that is a stupid reason to leave the band. If they couldn't agree on what type of songs to have on the CD. Why couldn't they have just put half Hip-Hop/Rap and the other half Rock? I think Zach got a little too carried away, and he forgot bout the other guys.

Can you believe it?

Everything happens for reasons I just don't know,

I don't care about anyone else but me!

I don't care about anyone!
I don't care about anyone else but me!

I don't care about anyone or anything but me!

Goddamn I love me!

That was always the hardest part for me when I listened to Rage. They're constant shrieking about politics made me wanna puke. I was hoping that with Cornell, the band wouldn't be as influenced by politics.

i never pictured Cornell fitting in with RATM, at least the way they were when Zack was there...

I don't pay much attention to the politcal part of Rage. Well I try not to, they have lots of talent in the guitarists so it would be a shame to never hear them record another album. Some of RATM's songs are really annoying, mainly because of the lyrics. Cornell could probably change that, they definetley have skill in the intrumental part of the music, they just need to recognize that encouraging protests and rampages isn't going to work these days...

One more for the good guys!

i just disagree with their politics and philosophies so i dont buy their records (anymore), merch, or go to shows they'll be at so at least i won't feel like a hypocrite. i dont mean to come off sounding like a dick, thats just the way i feel, i guess sometimes i do take my own personal set of political ideology a little too seriously...
